  1. Because I sometimes have trees in my pictures as well? More in general, because the X-T1 has great MF aids, and at least the "tree tops" scenario is almost screaming for that? In the case of the house, I would have expected the AF to have locked easily indeed, so that sounds a bit disappointing for a "state of the art" camera. Anyway, I did not realise that I was only allowed to be in this thread when I would own an X-T2 ... apologies for that.
  2. What a stupid answer [emoji6] Why would you not use the proper tool for the situation? In this case, MF for landscape and scenic photography? I am not in the market for a X-T2 anyway, by the way, but if I wanted to focus on such fine tree structures, then I would not trust the AF (especially with the fine MF aids that the X-T cameras provide).
  3. Why would you use autofocus with such static structures? It's not like those trees (or most trees actually) would suddenly start to run off. I only have a Gen.1 and Gen.2 Fuji X camera (X-Pro1 + X-T1), but I mostly use manual focus in such situations.
  4. Not many people will have this combination of cameras, so not sure how many replies you will get.
  5. I decided to order the TP full case, and I will report back once it arrives
  6. My X-E1 also survived light rain several times ... I think Fujifilm needs a better story regarding "weather sealing"; this starts to sound like marketing with no substance. @OP sorry to hear they did not honour your warranty claim. Slightly disappointing for a camera where they make such a point of the weather sealing in their sales materials. "The weather resistant structure is sealed in approximately 80 places and is both dust and water resistant. Additionally it is designed to cope in temperatures as low as -10°C allowing field photography without the typical worries about the weather, season or general shooting environment."
  7. But most of them do not have the proper cut-out for the X100T's USB cover, and are half cases only. I am looking for a proper leather full case for the "T". I start to believe that only "TP" makes one ... Edit: I looked at the J.B. Designs cases ... they do not fit my requirements unfortunately. (not a full case, and not leather)
  8. Good test! I am not a fan of zoom lenses for walking around. The articulating display would be handy, but is no deal breaker for me. If/when I upgrade, it will likely be to the X-Pro form factor. Though I will probably wait for the X-Pro3 or X-Pro4.
  9. Or www.fuji-x-forum.de which also has a wealth of information and photos.
  10. I'm looking for a leather case for the X100T. One hard requirement is that it should leave the USB cover free, which rules out many of the available cases. I find USB charging very convenient, and I don't want to give that up for a protective case. Another "must have" is that the cover should work with a UV filter attached to the lens. A "nice to have" is that the half case screws into the tripod mount. To be clear, I am looking for a full case, with cover, and not to a half case only. The only one I have found so far is made by "TP" from China. Thanks for your suggestions!
  11. Isn't WR getting more important, the more cameras turn into miniature computers?

  13. Pressing the view mode button repeatedly should turn on the LCD.
  14. I guess the shop where you bought it can provide you with a duplicate receipt? The switch on my X100T is absolutely fine, BTW.
  15. I don't care if they are digital or analog/optical ... as long as they are reliable and effective
  16. Yes, I highly prefer the OVF cameras as well. From my point of view, Fujifilm could discard the EVF completely in the OVF cameras, if they provide good enough focusing aids in the OVF.
  17. Nothing that appeals to me really, except the 80mm macro that's been on the roadmap already for some time.
