  1. I would do a factory reset of the camera, if I were you. That gives you a clear starting point.
  2. Automatic musical instruments museum Speelklok, in Utrecht, in black and white (BW+Y film simulation). All pictures shot with the XF 27mm f/2.8. The light was challenging in the museum, to say the least, which was one of the reasons for choosing monochrome. The girl in the pictures was very intrigued by all the musical boxes and organs. But she was probably a bit scared by the noises too, hence the ear muffs.
  3. It's many years ago that I have skated on natural ice ... I am jealous! Very nice pictures as well.
  4. For those of you creating cityscapes, what's your favourite lens / focal length? While I love the Samyang 12mm, I often find that it is a bit too wide for my taste. Usually I am in doubt whether I should take the 18mm or 27mm with me ... both are great and compact lenses for city walk arounds. While I love the 35mm f1.4, the field of view is a bit tight for a walk around lens, in my opinion. 18mm f2 27mm f2.8
  5. Then either the 23mm or 27mm would be an excellent starter lens, IMHO.
  6. One of our guinea pigs, Vlekkie, with my youngest daughter.
  7. I am intrigued by the cork grip on your camera! And the lens/adapter combo is more compact than I imagined from your description. The out of focus rendering of the lens is not too much to my liking though.
  8. Me too. The 23mm f2 is larger than I had hoped or expected. I even could have lived with not having an aperture ring, if that would have made the lens smaller.
  9. But it is in the wrong place on the Canon 5D. That makes it not very useful for me as a left eye, glasses wearing, user. The Canon (and Fujifilm) joysticks would me more useful if they were closer to the edge of the camera. Fujifilm got the design right with the X-Pro1. That was one of the reasons I switched. The X-Pro2 follows the same philosophy. They went the wrong way with the X-T cameras, in my opinion. Too sleek, and buttons in the wrong place.
  10. Polder landscape - Fujifilm X-Pro1 - 35/1.4 - Velvia film simulation
  11. I don't have the same camera, but I have the 27mm. Everyone should have one, in my opinion
  12. I just packed my X-Pro1 with a 35/1.4 for a trip tomorrow ... X-Trans generation 1 is not dead yet
  13. Ahh yes, but Github is an essential tool nowadays for software development teams. "Everyone" uses it. @OP: thanks! I will certainly take a look!
  14. I don't need a LCD on the back. OTOH, a top display sounds a lot more useful to me.
  15. I posted the same thought in another thread. At the same time, it is extremely unlikely. The market demands more pixels, and they depend on a third party for their sensors. I was happy with 12mp. And I don't see why I would need to double that.
  16. Canon also has a kind of joystick. I never liked it, so I am not really surprised.
  17. Between 16mm and 27mm is a large stretch ... put your lens on 23mm for a full week, and decide then. Or better, also put it on e.g. 18mm and 27mm for a week.
  18. I know it is very unlikely, but I hope that Fujifilm will keep a line of "lower resolution" (relatively speaking) cameras in production for a long time. Less storage, no hassle with compressed file formats, and less computer power required.
  19. Hmm, mock-up A looks like an ergonomic nightmare. Mock-up B looks better, but it's not really clear to me what problem it is trying to solve. In my opinion, the whole idea of Fujifilm's button layout is that it allows you to develop a muscle memory. I don't see that happening as quickly with mock-up B.
  20. How are the frame lines and parallax correction with the 23/2 in the X-Pro1?
  21. Too many? When you found a converter that you like, what does it matter how many others there are?
