  1. To answer your question no. I connect the XT2, XH1 and GFX to my iPad, iPhone. If you care to elaborate on what you are doing, maybe someone here can help you.
  2. My XH1 and GFX 50R both came with manuals in the box. If not, and I don't agree with what I'm about to say as I feel it is the manufacturers responsibility, but you can download the manual and take it to Staples or any office supply store and have them print it for you in double-sided booklet style.
  3. APSC is good enough. Many years ago I shot with Nikon - D800 and D800e with the trinity of lenses, as well as with film Medium Format Mamiya 645 AFD's. My first mirrorless Fuji was an X-E1, then the XT1, 2, and the XH1. I've made 36 x 24 prints from the XT1 which was "only" 16mp that will blow anyone away. It all comes to shot discipline -- Tripod, focus, exposure, etc. etc. I sell thousands of images around the world and many prints as well. I've never, ever had anyone ask me, nor say to me anything about not having enough pixels. It's all about YOU and how you approach the subject. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
  4. I've bought gray market. Back in my Nikon days and NEVER had an issue - but I also never had to send one of my Nikon's in for service.
  5. Here's how I got my X-H1 to connect to my MacBook Air. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on the Mac. Go to the camera menu > Wrench > Connection Setting > Go to PC CONNECTION MODE, then, Right arrow, and select "USB CARD READER" This worked for me as I was able to import my images. Hope that helps.
  6. Compared to the JPEG? If so, that's normal. I get that across my X series and G series Fuji's, and past Nikons. That's normal. Remember the JPEG is an oven baked cookie. If you want to see the RAW file, with the same settings as a JPEG you can do so in either LR, or Capture One by using the same profile in LR or C1 that you shot in. Say, Provia, Astia, etc. etc. I'm not sure if I answered your question fully as I am not sure what you are comparing the raw file out of camera to.
  7. Ah the beauty of mirrorless. You can focus and do what you need with the ND filter(s) on - unlike dSlRs. I have not had any issues focusing with ND's on my Fuji's if that helps.
  8. HA! I really don't post much which some folks tell me that's the issue. Honestly, I think I suck at it. I do enjoy teaching -- something I do quite often at local clubs, and at the high school(s)
  9. The LCD only works horizontally (?). If you place the camera in a portrait/vertical orientation the rear LCD does not title upward like the XT2, X-H1 and other cameras. Hope that help.
  10. Me needs the GFX 100-200 lens but not at 1999.00, I'd only buy it at 1599.
  11. There you go! That's what I was going to suggest you check first.
  12. What don't I like? The fact I don't have a second 50R body as I'm trying to sell some of my X bodies and lenses. LOL. Oh, and the fact the rear LCD doesn't articulate properly when the camera is in portrait orientation. That's it.
  13. I would check in with fuji suppport in your area but to me, and I'm no expert, it looks like Like leakage -- of which there should be NONE. I've shot with the 50R uptimes o ISO 6400 and have never seen this.
  14. Pixel Shift? Don't even know what that is and I've been shooting for 36 years. All I know is I shoot pretty pictures. LOL. Sorry can't be of more assistance.
  15. I've shot Fuji since 2012, and before that Nikon. I've been all digital since 2002. I can count on ONE HAND the number of times I've shot video with a camera. And, maybe TWO hands with my iPhone. And I have to ask as a GFX50R owner who in their right mind would want to shoot video with that, and why Fuji did you even add that feature to a medium format camera!!?? If Fuji had instead added an articulating screen like the 50S to the 50R, and cut out the video I would have much more use for that feature than video. Unless a UFO, or a Bigfoot stood between me and my landscape I would not shoot video - even if you paid me to.
  16. Interesting note. Thank you. I started my own YouTube channel on photography - especially travel and landscape but I've yet to garner anything but immediate family and close friends (pity followers). LOL Good Luck!!
  17. Try Luminar. I own Lightroom, Capture 1, iPhoto library, and Luminar. I do believe Luminar will do the job - for both JPEG's now, and if you opt to shoot raw later. It is both an image management (library) and it has some serious functionality to edit your images. And, the added benefit of being a "buy once and own" with none of the monthly fees associated with the likes of LR, and Capture One - though I own C1 outright as well. Hope that helps.
  18. Well, Since you seem to have all the answers, then no one needs to answer. Thank you
  19. That's a great point. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. That is something I've practiced since 2003 when I went digital. Now, this used to apply mores when we all lived in pre-historic times and only had only single card slots. In these modern times, and since we ( well at least I ) use the second slot as a backup at all times, I use larger 64G cards in both slots. In my 50R, I have a 64G in slot 1, and a 128G in slot 2. In my XH1, XT2 I keep 64G in both slots. Since I travel quite a bit as a landscape/travel guy, and hate carrying a laptop or other crap around other than my iPad, I carry about 30ea 64G card in a couple of Thinktank card wallets, double stacked. The way I work it is once the cards come out of the camera, those cards never, ever get close to the camera bag ever again. This way, if anything happens to my camera or camera bag, whether they be stolen or lost, the memory cards are always on my person whether out for dinner, or under my pillow in my hotel room. To me, the images become more valuable than the cameras. My used cards never meet the camera bag again until I'm back home and the cards are uploaded and backed up, and re-formatted. I am happy to say I've never, ever had a card go bad on me thank goodness; nor have I lost any using my method. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Hope it helped.
  20. Oh I use the Pentagon 50 1.8! I love it. I've also used Minolta 58 1.4 and a Minolta 135 2.8 on my X cameras. They all work wonderfuly
  21. Have you tried switching to "spot" metering and placing the focusing square over the face? I've never used a Sony but I would imagine that should work no?
  22. I returned my XT3 for the XH1. I couldn't be happier. I also own the GFX50R medium format which is honestly my favorite, but the XH1 always goes with me.
  23. Check Ebay. Better pricing by far. I have one on my GFX 50R and my X-H1 and it's unbelievable. Both function as an L bracket to boot.
  24. Um. Just USE the camera! You should see what my 1978 Minolta X-E7 looks like. It used to be a black body. Now, it's black but mostly brass. Eventually the camera will show it's true colors naturally.
  25. I know of someone that has now gone through two copies of the 10-24 lens. Due to moisture from working in wet/humid weather caused this long-term issue. I believe he got Rid of the lens after the second copy, and one of the primary reasons I don't own this particular lens.
