  1. Or they just put it on their newest body that they released...The X-T10. Clearly with it being WR, it's designed to go with a new offering (WR X-Pro2/X-T2?) or the existing WR offering X-T1.
  2. I've got your book on preorder and can't wait till I get it. It's most likely gonna change my whole workflow with the X-T1.
  3. Who's saying Fuji isn't gonna make a compact 23? There are Fuji Pro's out there shooting the 16 on the X-Pro 1 and this is the first time I've ever heard anyone complain about seeing the barrel in the OVF... Just as a side note, I can grab any one of my 5 rangefinder film cameras and I can see the barrel of the lens in the OVF of every single one of them (that includes the compact P&S XA), and all but one are a fixed lens RF...
  4. I don't think he is insinuating lack of photography experience, but lack of experience with the camera platform. In other words, knowing what settings will give you your best performance for the sport you are shooting.
  5. I think wildlife is really the only avenue that Fuji is behind in, and that will be solved as soon as they get the 100-400 and the Tele on the market. I think it's a failure of the photographer for the most part thinking that Fuji isn't there in sports photography yet. Go look in our photo section. There is a photographer shooting motor sports. Tell me how AF is lagging when this guy is shooting cars and motorcycles traveling over 100mph... I haven't tried sport photography with my X-T1 yet, but I'd imagine that continuous in tracking mode would suit needs just fine for soccer/football, american football, and any other fast moving sport. Most other sports you know where the action is going to occur.
  6. Unlike what Sony has done, Fuji has a plan to populate their lens line up before anything else. They are still working on this goal, however once this goal is accomplished, I feel you will see them doing something very similar here. I find it odd that Sigma chooses to make lenses for Sony E Mount, given their reasons for not making them for Fuji X Mount. I looked at Sony, and the lack of lens choices and the choices that are available made my decision to go for Fuji very easy.
  7. You might consider, instead of the 56 ƒ1.2, the 60mm ƒ2.4. Macro lenses usually make wonderful portrait lenses. I've more recently realized that I can probably slide the 60mm in to my lineup and nix the 56 for now. Saving enough money to probably tack on another lens as the 60 is almost half the price of the 56, and more than half of the APD. If I make this decision I could probably add two lenses this christmas, or the 60 and an X100s (which is what I really want to take up my 35mm slot in my kit). The 16, is positively wonderful though and it is a lens I desperately want in my kit for sure. Very zippy and incredibly sharp. Any who... Just a thought. I can see you have clearly put a lot of effort into your research, but you might not have considered the 60, and if you wanted it portraiture, the speed of the 60 is plenty fast. It's my thought process anyway.
  8. 35 ƒ1.4 rarely if ever leaves my X-T1. Then again I love the 50mm focal length. Have it on almost everyone of my film cameras, and in many cases the only lens I own for many of my film bodies. If you like a wider angle, I think the 18 is really handy on bodies like the X-E's and X-Pro. Its small, light, good quality and still get the aperture ring; which is the only thing that has kept me away from the 27...
  9. Kind of like when people use words like this instead of simply saying "handbook" or "guide" you mean?
  10. Some really good suggestions in this article. http://weshootfuji.com/2015/09/30/fuji-the-issue-of-support/ Would you pay a yearly fee for guarantees like these? I can certainly see the working pros among us justifying these charges. I'd certainly do it..
  11. Tried my hand at a couple of Street Portraits on Saturday's Fujifilm Global Photo Walk. Final Four by Clint Ausmus, on Flickr O'Reilly by Clint Ausmus, on Flickr As always "Creative Feedback" is always welcome in any picture I post.
  12. This is not an unusual thing for forums to get spammers. In all the forums I've been on, I've never had any issues with spammers getting any of my personal information. And other than locking the doors and not letting new members in, I know of no way for Andreas to prevent such a thing from happening. Just relax. This is a safe environment Andreas has created for us.
  13. How do our requests gel with those of working professionals actually using the X-Pro1 to pay their bills? http://www.mirrorlessons.com/2015/09/24/what-10-fujifilm-x-pro1-users-would-like-to-see-on-the-fuji-xpro-2/ Several across the plane want dual card slots, tilting screen, Wifi, weather sealing, and higher raw ISO...
  14. All I'm saying is this is the nature of rangefinders. Everyone who's ever shot one knows this. I understand what you are doing and I appreciate you bringing this up. With the success of the X-Pro1, I have no doubt that this will be something that Fuji addresses in the X-Pro2.
  15. Is this what you are looking for? http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/software/firmware/x/xpro1/history.html
  16. This is not a problem as it relates to the use of the camera. The camera still works, although with out the use of OVF, of course. I personally don't think they intended the camera to ever be used with zoom lenses or any focal length outside the normal range. Perhaps with the X-Pro 2 they will have a switch, like analog rangefinders did, or something.
  17. You can always rent a second body for the security until you get your kit built up. The X-T1 is less than 15 bucks a day for 3 minimum.
  18. For weddings I'd say get the 50-140 or the 56 depending on your style of shooting.
  19. Lately I've been shopping for one of the GW's myself. If I ever stumble across one I can't not justify buying, I'll have one. Either this or one of the 645's. Can't quite make up my mind one which as I haven't shot much MF at all.
  20. They also had their own medium format camera in a rangefinder style. I'd love for them to make a digital version of this.... 0043 Fuji GW690III 90mm Professional 6x9 by Zebrio, on Flickr
  21. Is it really that hard to turn the dial on top of the camera?
  22. Do you have your focus set to manual?
