  1. I really hope it's not something that requires all new lenses. Unless it's a medium format, which although I wouldn't buy it at this point and time, would be very exciting. Look forward to hearing the latest rumor. Thanks for staying on top of of it.
  2. The 18-135 is quite big. It's why I bought the kit with the 18-55. That being said, ever since I got the camera I wished I had just gotten the 18-135. The 18-55 doesn't have enough reach for just having one lens with you, and although the 18-135 lens is bigger and heavier it isn't so much that it isn't worth the extra reach you get out of it. In my opinion anyway. I'd love to have a travel kit with the 18-135, and probably the 56/1.2or 35/1.4, I could ditch the 35 if I could add a x100 in to that kit. Just my opinion..I'm sure other's have better thought process.
  3. For now I'm just using the 18-55 kit, so I have quite a list. The next two I'm buying: 10-24 ƒ4 R OIS 50-140 ƒ2.8 R LM OIS WR (sadly, unless I score a great deal, I'll settle for the 55-200 ƒ3.5-4.8; still a great lens though) 16-55 ƒ2.8 R LM WR 56 ƒ1.2 R 35 ƒ1.4R Next Year: 100-400 1.4x Tele A second body with an 18-135 would also be nice.
  4. I had this problem earlier myself. I was clicking like as I read them and hit my quota before I finished the first thread...LOL... The Like Button is under utilized in most forums. Sometimes just a like is the only response necessary and it keeps the threads on point in my opinion.
  5. I too agree that this would be a great addition to the forum. If you don't want to split it up simply have the people list their shipping preferences. I'm a member of another forum where members span the entire globe and you simply list whether or not you are willing to ship overseas, however most folks in the US simply state that their price includes CONUS shipping. Others list whether they are in the EU or South America, etc...
  6. CRAusmus here. Currently in Texas, but going to get to Georgia this summer. I've been involved in photography in one form or another since I was a teenager. After taking a class in Junior High I built my own black and white lab and began to develop my own images with my Olympus OM 10. After spending some time muddling around after high school I got a job doing lab work for a professional photographer and working with various camera systems from Horizontal Cameras, Vertical Cameras, Contact Tables, Even Cruze Cameras that took up two rooms. With thoughts of working in high fashion and making millions in the photography industry I went to Art School and wound up going the Graphic Design route instead, only picking up cameras in the studio when needed. First digital camera I ever shot with was a Nikon based Kodak DCS that took a 3.5 in floppy disk, and I was bitten again by the photography bug. With the cost of digital being so expensive I spent more time renting gear and never got around to purchasing a DSLR. You could shoot all weekend for 90 bucks with Nikon D1, where as to buy one would cost you over 5 grand not including the lens, keep in mind this was 99-03. However it wasn't until just a few months ago I actually decided it was time to build a serious digital kit for myself. After spending an entire year doing research and saving, I took a leap and bought into the Fuji System. I'm fully invested now and couldn't be happier. I have two lenses on my purchase list, the 10-24 and the 55-200 (unless I score a major deal for the 50-140). I've been loving having the freedom of shooting whenever I want now I've begun to get back into film as well, and pulled my Patterson out of the attic a few weeks ago and bought a battery for my AE. Just one of the wonderful things about photography. The principles never change, the terminology never changes (well not all the terminology), and the technology only gets better. I'm excited to be a part of the Fuji X Community. I'm excited to be so near the ground floor of what Fuji is doing. They have a truly exciting future in front of them and I am very happy to be on this journey with them and you all.
  7. The quality of the Lowepro products I have experience with is phenomenal in my opinion. My walk around pack is the Photo Sport Sling 100 AW. I love the fact that you don't have to take the pack off to get to the camera. For this reason alone I'm seriously considering the Flipside series of packs once I outgrow the sling. Currently I only have the kit lens (18-55), but my next two purchases will be the 10-24 and 55-200. It is nice to see how much you are getting into this pack, as I thought it was smaller than that. Glad you are happy with your purchase. If you're on the fence about Lowepro, don't be. Great quality, forward thinking, excellent attention to details.
