Following 2 pictures are taken at F1.4 on 2 different 35mm lens + X-E2 : Fuji XF 35mm 1.4 Zhongyi 35mm 0.95 II Do you see any difference? Which image looks slightly better? Which SAMPLE is XF35mm ? I'll post the answer soon, just curious if it's easy to say for experienced XF35mm shooters. SAMPLE1 [F1.4] SAMPLE2 [F1.4] Also 100% crops from each shot: SAMPLE1 crop [F1.4] SAMPLE2 crop [F1.4]
I just purchased the Fuji 23mm 1.4, and I would appreciate any input as to whether I have a bad sample. The question is sharpness at f/1.4 up to f/2. I also have the 14mm 2.8, 35mm 1.4, 60mm 2.4, 56mm 1.2 and the 55-200. They all have excellent sharpness at max aperture, but the 23 is wanting. I attached two 100% crops. 4536 is the 23mm at 1.4 and 4051 is the 35mm at 1.4. These were auto focus, on the dog. I know that wider angle lens tend to be less sharp, but this seems pretty soft. So, I would appreciate any comments from users of this lens. If mine is normal, that's fine - it has plenty of other redeeming features. But if it's not, I can exchange it for another one. Thx for any help.
Hey friends, this comparison is very rushed and won't be of much use to many of you, but since both of these lenses are hard to find in stores for most people, here is a little comparison to help you avoid wasting $500 to $1000 on either of these. This is the Fujinon XF 56mm f/1.2 compared to the Lensbaby Velvet 56mm f/1.6 with an honorable mention of the Fujinon XF 35mm f/1.4 Side by Side: They honestly are about the same size and weight, which is surprising since the fuji is faster and has autofocus.
