Me not. That doesn't make a great sense but sure will add some significant cost. 10-24 has internal zooming and don't suck air with dust or raindrops, in contrast of a regular zoom design like 18-55. To be precisely, the front element of this lense is moving while zooming, but only a very few mm, even hard to notice it. I had an occasion to walk with 10-24 at a winter rainy day, 8-9 hours or so, attached to X-T1 and exposed to outer for whole of that time. No problems.

Poll: How do you use viewfinder, display, menus?
Vidalgo replied to fordfanjpn's topic in General Discussion
When outdoor, I prefer "VF only" mode whenever it's possible, otherwise I'm going to "Eye Sensor" mode. For indoors, especially when with tripod, LCD mode works better for me. Being mostly a RAW shooter, I don't use Q menu at all, going into maybe once per day or so.. -
Should the X-T2 Have an Integrated Battery Grip?
Vidalgo replied to 9.V.III's topic in Fuji X-T1 / Fuji X-T10
My vote is for basic body (with battery of course) and optional add-on grips (with or without battery, various shapes, etc.). Like X-T1 now. But I would like to get several points for attaching of add-ons, not a single tripod screw. Permanent attachment via single screw isn't reliable and need be tightened from time to time, then you need to keep in pocket tools for it. -
New 24Mp sensor paired with new processor - that's first my major needs from T2. Then goes joystick, "my menu", RAF compressing, battery meter. Other new features welcome but no mandatory.

Try to take off the battery for several hours (maybe day or so). That's works as a hardware reset for electronic circuitry.

I made only two clicks on 100-400 Australian page and it's totally disappeared

Movie button. Why, WHY do not make Fn from trash button??

USB interface has +5V DC for powering peripheral devices and chargers. When for a battery charging needs more than 5V, then the USB-charger has built-in step-up converter. I have a USB charger for Fuji battery, got it from ebay for several bucks, it's small and works OK. See picture. Charging from USB takes a little more time.

It's intended for removing of strong oxidation layer from contacts, but almost useless for gold plated contacts because no oxidation there. Better to use cotton swab wetted with lab-grade ethanol/propanol/isopropanol, for removing possible dirt and oils.

I have 10-24 for more than year and I'm happy with it. It's exactly matches to my needs and style of using.

Kit of body + 18-55.

I had own a bridge Fuji camera, HS50, dirt cheap against any X-camera, and it's screen can be tilted, flipped, rotated, whatever... They call it "vary-angle". Very handy and helps for creativity. Don't understand why such great and existing feature isn't goes to the top models, unless marketers are kept it as "last chance" for last runs.

I'm just pointed to an alternative for grip-with-L-mount. For me, it's more logical, because L-option is only used together with tripod and can be connected at that time only, while main purpose of grip is better handling of camera aside of tripod. When two functions aren't intersects, each one can be implemented in more optimal way.

I got original grip for XT-1 at first days when it started to be sellable, at that time no third-party grips were available, at all, any.

I have original Fuji MHG-XT (medium size) permanently attached to the camera, X-T1. The grip is rubberized exactly as camera body and this combinations give solid feels and comfortable handling. Battery door is accessible of course. No problems to use front wheel. Initially I would like to get the larger model, but it was too expensive for me, ~200$ for such simple thing looks strange a bit. And other reason - using ultrawide angles like Samyang fisheye may be problematic with that thick grip. So I got medium sized grip and it works fine for me: I got additional L-plate for some small money from ebay market, and keep it together with my tripod accessories. It can be quickly mounted/dismounted without any tool, non-slipping due to rubber pads, allows access to battery (when mounted on MHG-XT base), and allows full access to connectors door. It can migrate to other camera with similar size. What's more. Here are pictures:

Mine too. Very handy to attach or remove that lens because the rear side don't have rings or switches, and have just a right size. I often use it at f/9...f/11 (where it has max resolution) with X-T1 and don't have any unusual problem of AF at daylights.

How do you store your camera and lenses when not in use?
Vidalgo replied to rickytj's topic in Fuji X-T1 / Fuji X-T10
Removing batteries from a device that will be stored for long time is actual for alkaline types of battery (they can leak with their chemistry) and Ni-Cd/Ni-MH rechargeables (they just will be empty due to internal leakage current). These types of battery were used in old cameras before the lithium technology was spreaded. No reasons to remove today's lithium batteries, other than charging or using with another device. Removing lens makes a sense if it helps to arrange storage space, for example. Why no. Put lens into its original package - what can be better? -
a filter was attached?

For those who love knocking, there are filter-mountable rubber lens hoods, branded and nonames, straight and collapsible, even allowing to add filter in front of.

10-24 works quite well hand held in low light situations, unless you want to shot something moving..
-
My key points for lens swapping: - do not change lenses while camera is ON. - do not expose either of sensor or lens rear for long time. Long means tens of seconds or more. - do not expose either of sensor or lens rear to the coming wind, or raindrops, smoke, whatever coming. - avoid to put something on an uncontrolled surface, like ground, lawn, floor, etc. That's all. Actual movements they are depends mainly of the bag and situation.
