I would like to have a short printed version of the manual, without any kind of introductions and such obvious descriptions as "how to insert battery" etc. Only pages that are worth to keep in field use. "How lock/unlock buttons" for example. I believe the shortened manual can be a half of thickness/weight from the existing, so it will get much more chances to be putted into the bag.

By the way, is there a visible exterior sign of which version is on the shelf? I believe both lense and package should be properly labeled for a new version. -
and it can be used as a seat of birds when not moving !!!

Internal cleaning means: disassembling, cleaning, assembling AND adjustment (adjustment when applicable, we can't know it). IF adjustment is needed by design, then we can get back the lens worse than before...

I looked to Samyang 8mm fisheye, it has the same aperture 6-blades behaviour. It's perfectly rounded when full open (2.8), become "reasonably rounded" when closed to 4, and after 8 it looks like perfect hex-shaped. I believe both 12mm and 8mm lens share the same aperture design. I don't know, why so hard to make apertures with more blades. Even Zeiss can do it.

Generally speaking, sales guy wants to sell to you bunch of new lenses instead of single adapter for your existing lenses. Of course, there are a lot of technical reasons for not to put together things from different systems, because they are just not designed to match each other.. Sometimes adapting of parts works good, sometimes no.

I'm not used this lens so much since buyed two month ago and I'm mostly "vacation shooter with zooms". Anyway I tried to use it at last trip to Malta, so here are two shots taken at night, f/2.8 iso3200, with no time to positioning, composing etc. Just "on the way".

A moment of time after UFO flies up. They came to check what goes with human radar, made their records and gone. Light beams from engines were very pronounced but quickly disappeared at clouds.

Just remove extra symbols at the end of link.

How about other Fuji cameras? They also have doors and sometimes rubberized exterior.

Nothing mysterious. Under the camera outer bayonet flange (that one with 6 small screws) there is a spring ring. It is necessary to eliminate the backlash bayonet connection. Every bayonet has a spring at one side. When we change the lens, this spring ring rubs against the lens mount at several points. Noted metal dust can be product of that friction.

18-55 comes as kit lens with reduced cost so worth to get it. If I remember correctly, 18-135 also plays sometimes role of kit. Both are great lenses and definitely good for landscapes, while extension from 55 to 135mm can be defined as an additional feature for other tasks. 18-55 has better optical resolution. May be worth to add a wide angle lense, like inexpensive Samyang 12mm. For my taste, the best Fuji lens for landscapes/cityscapes is XF10-24...

10mm f/16 white LED as a front light source, several dust particles added to sensor and to rear lens element. Funny, I found the best horror happens when frame composes with LED placed on thirds intersections.

My XF-27mm has sticker and made in China. Purchased about 2 month ago from our local store. No any issues, all works as should.

XC50-230, some extreme test shots 1. Fast-moving object. 2. Bird under harsh summer sun, non-static also. 230mm and crop 100%. 3. Indoor, at night, quick kitchen setup. Light source - only one candle! Sorry, don't have XF55-200.
