  1. Your Sandisk Extreme Pro cards should be fine for the way you say that you are shooting. If you are shooting video, the I would choose the UHS II cards.
  2. I have been using screen protectors fro Expert Shield on my X-T1 for 2 years and they install without any problem and are perfectly clear, and very durable. The same screen can be used on the X-T2 as the LCD screen is the same size.
  3. Received mine at 10:15 am on Friday from Adorama. Mine was preordered on July 7 at 12:05 am! Enjoying sorting out the differences from my X-T1.
  4. The grid framing grid lines on the X-T1 were very large and dark, and Fuji finally issued a firmware fix so the the lines were very faint and less obtrusive. The grid lines on the LCD of the X-T2 are also faint, however, they forgot to make the same adjustment in the EVF, and they are very bold and annoying. Not sure how they "forgot" to make the correction here, but it does need to be done. May be a trivial item for some, but it does need correction for those of us who do care.
  5. The decision to give up my X-T1 and to pre-order the X-T2 was not one that was easy to make. I love the X-T1 and everything about it. I does everything that I need from my camera. I don't need 24MP or 14 FPS, and I can live without Acros film simulation. But.......my X-T1 is just now 2 years old and I have had the rubber surface replaced twice in the first 12 months, and a now a third time in the last year. All have been covered N/C by Fuji as a warranty service. They have also replaced the accessory door, and sent me an additional replacement. My camera has very light usage and never abused. As much as I love it, I no longer have confidence that these failures won't continue to happen on the X-T1. I do not want to have to return the body ever 6 months for repair. Consequently my sad solution, although expensive, was to replace the X-T1 and hope that all of these issues have now been resolved with the newer model. I know this is not the experience of everyone..... just mine.
  6. I would agree, however in my situation my usage was very minimal and at home most of the time. It has not been used in adverse environments, not been to Alaska or the dessert or filming near water on in the jungle! Fuji did replace it twice within the first year under warranty and the issue had nothing to do with wear of abuse. Still contend that they had an issue with the double faced tape that is used to attach the skin, or a problem of rejection between the body and the adhesive. Once again, I have been a photographer for over 60 years and never had a problem like this with my pro Nikon or Canon gear. My gear is obsessively maintained and protected. Under normal and minimal use this should not happen to any quality camera. There have been many posts similar to mine, so I am not unique in my experience. I now us a Gariz half case to protect the body. Not a big fan at all of this solution, but better this than having the problem and frustration return. Fuji has a problem but will not openly acknowledge. As much as I love the X-T1 I will dump it in a flash if it continues. Anxiously awaiting the arrival of the X-T2.
  7. My usage is very minimal. Mostly around my home and on a few outings. Not exposed to high heat or cold. Handled normally as would be expected. As I posted previously, I take exceptional care of my gear as I have for over 60 years and never had an experience like this. If this continues will fuji care or will we be charged outrageous prices to repair at our expense. Hoping that fuji does care and will research the source of the failure, and offer to satisfy their loyal customer base. It is an awesome product! We just need a little TLC.
  8. The rubber surface has come loose from the body, now for the second time within the first year of the warranty. Fuji is repairing again, but this concers me greatly about the build quality, not the performance. This is very lightly used body. I will become very disinchanted with the X-t1 if this continues to happen. I have written to fuji about my concerns, but no one seems to care enough to respond. I have beend a photographer for 60 years and never had this kind of an issue. Any suggestions, or how do I get my correspondence to be taken seriously? Thanks........
  9. I just had my accessory door replaced under warranty because of the same issuse. Yes, I did have to be without for a week, but they do respond quickly. Unfortunately, we the consumer have to pay for the return in order to repair a manufacturing issue that is Fuji's problem, not ours. Often feels that warranties obviated the responsibility of taking ownership of problems. However, it is a great camera.
