  1. The Fuji is definitely capable - it's all about getting enough distance between the subject and the background.
  2. Look like the XT2 is the same price in US Dollars as here in the UK - I know US prices don't include Sales Tax but all the same it's another case of the UK Consumer getting charged more. I decided to go for the 16-55 lens in the meantime as it has £145 cash back and look at the body again next year when the XT2s is released - maybe the XT2 will come down again then.
  3. I have the X-E2 - essentially the same image quality as the XT1 - so I wasn't in a rush to get the XT2 either but was waiting on the right offer to come along to make it more affordable. So, I'll be waiting now until the XT2s or XT3 is released and then hopefully the XT2 will come down again.
  4. I know the pound has been devalued recently but to the tune of £200? That's nearly a 15% increase in the price. I was all but set to take advantage of the cash back offer this autumn but that increase means that I won't be buying it at the moment.
  5. So, Fuji are offering a £95 cash back deal this autumn in the UK - shame they've just put the price up by £200.00 then!
  6. Glad to know I'm not the only one then - I've written to Fuji but no reply yet.
  7. Ever since I updated the firmware on my Fuji X-E2 when I import RAW files into Lightroom 5 they are automatically cropped to something like a 16:9 ratio and I have to hit reset to return the files to the 3:2 ratio they were shot in. JPEG files are ok. Anybody else having this problem?
  8. Smudge on the front element seems to have been the problem.
  9. Might have found the problem (apart from me being an idiot) gave the front element a good clean :-) Quick test shot attached - weather wasn't great today so it's not one of my best but the starbursts are much better!
  10. Possible I guess - although I took some shots with my 18-55 that came out ok, so hopefully the problem is just with the lens and not the body. I'm sending some sample files to Fuji Uk to see what they think.
  11. Anybody else having problems with getting good starbursts with the 10-24mm lens - or is this scene just asking too much of the lens? These are SOOC JPEGs and the camera settings were: ISO 800, 30 secs at f16 and f11

  13. Just back from a cruise around the Greek Islands and I took my Fuji XE2 with 18-55mm and 10-24mm. The 18-55mm was on my camera 95% of the time with the 10-24mm making the odd appearance for wide interiors.
