Kaizen Again? Fuji X-T1 will get another Firmware update this year! (AS) - Which New Features would you like to get?

you can put it to the lowest of volume and you would hear very little, indeed the best is electronic shutter.

Frankly speaking adding extra functions to cater for this special needs would make the camera even more complex than it already is making it less user friendly.

But you can already do back button focussing - at least I do all the time. Move the camera to manual focus (via the front three position lever and then use the AF-L button to focus, take you finger off, recompose and shoot. For me this works exactly the same as back button focus on a Nikon.

1. Manual Lens settings as a function button option. This is possible only with the Fuji M-Mount adapter button yet, but it would be useful when using other adapters as well.

2. Deleting photos directly on review. When taking a photo, one has to switch to play mode first in order to delete it.

SANTA BABY.....

The Ability to NAME the "Q" custom settings would be fantastic.  Instead of C1, I should be able to name it PORT,  LAND instead of C2, etc.  I want to be able to name them.  Give me at least four characters, but I'll take 3 just to have this option available to me.  And I'd love to see the same name displayed IN the VF, or LCD when shooting.

+/- 5 to 7 exposure brackets would be lovely to have.

I would like Bluetooth built into the camera and an iPhone app that allows me to view / set all settings on the camera and remotely trigger (one or more) foto's.  You could then easily integrate the features of apps like triggertrap but without the inconvenient cable.  You could even see app makers provide innovative features in apps if fuji were to open it to developers.  Ideally the picture taken would instantly be sent to the iPhone for review allowing pinch-zoom checking of focus, composition, etc

This would make it so much easier to shoot on a tri-pod and make numerous bulky often incompatible cables, triggers and apps superfluous.  The app could then take care of e.g taking 9 bracked foto's rather than having to rely on it being supported in camera firmware.

BTW I say bluetooth and not wifi as I don't want to go through the song and dance as well as the battery drain of turning the camera into a poorly working hotspot as is now the case.

I think they do Wifi because the range is much longer. Bluetooth is a little limited.

I would like to see them use the Wifi to check for firmware updates for lenses and the camera.

Important to me:

- Highlight clipping warnings / histogram in after shot preview

- Possibility to move the focus point with scroll wheels

- Non-"pumping" & more reliable AF-C

- Possibility to put (almost) any setting to Q-menu (case in point for me: after shot preview display time)

- Don't turn off self timer when shutting the camera down (super annoying with tripod work & trying to conserve battery)

- Allow more reduced NR than -2

- The water colour / waxing issues...

- Clicking function buttons that open menus with 2-3 options should rotate when function button is clicked several times rather than open a menu that requires 4-way controller or wheels to select the option

Nice to have:

- Open image playback from function buttons (I just can't get used to that left placed playback button)

- 24 hour clock

- Show amount of images taken in playback

    • Hey everyone, I am new to the fujifilm system, and I just received my X100vi about 15 days ago, and yesterday I noticed that ISO and exposure dials are acting up. I spent hours watching YouTube videos and reading forms without finding any solutions. Using ChatGPT or Gemini also didn’t help. My issues are the following: If I want to set my ISO at a specific value then the camera LCD/EVF shows a totally different value. For example, I have shutter manual, aperture manual and ISO dial at 6400, the camera shows ISO at 4000, when I take pictures it will show ISO at 4000 and not 6400. When I try to choose another ISO value it will skip some of the available values that are shown on the dial. Another issue I am having is when my exposure dial is not set at specific value, then I cannot set ISO to Auto no matter what value I select on the dial. If I do select the different exposure compensation values, then I choose A for ISO, the camera will activate the front commend dial to manually change ISO values. To get in Auto ISO, the shutter speed cannot be set in auto and the ISO dial should be set at 125, when I turn the ISO wheel, it seems like the numbers are misaligned by one value, If I put the dial on A with shutter speed manual, then it will trigger the front commend dial. The other issue that I am having is when I have Aperture, shutter speed and ISO on manual, If I change the exposure dial compensation + or - , it actually changes the exposure of the picture as well as the ISO value, which as I understand, if Camera is in full manual, the exposure dial should do nothing. The last issue that I am having, if I do have ISO in manual at a set value, and adjust exposure compensation dial, it alters my ISO instead of my shutter speed or my aperture, even though ISO is in Manual and the other two dials are in Automatic. I am not really sure if all of this is by design and I am just not understanding how everything works together, but it seems really odd how everything changes. Resetting the camera settings didn’t help.
    • I also have the eaxct problem with my X-T5. The remote used to work, but not anymore. I also get the light coming on on the camera back, and autofocus will happen, but no shutter release. Since I use the 2 or 10 seconds timer more I don't know if a firmware update is the cause of this negative change. I actualley only use the wired jack-remote for action release on a tripod.  Did anybody find a cause, and even more assisting, a solution?
    • I have the same issue. Have you found the the solution?

    • On my XPro 2 the rear command dial, when pressed, can cycle through 3 different magnification levels in the OVF.
