you aren’t doing anything wrong. It depends on the Picture. The one above didn’t have an extension that is “ forbidden” other do. We didn’t always have that but at some stage the administrators introduced this feature. There was an instance in which the administration were threatened with legal action by a photographic agency ( which should know better since this is a non commercial use), after a while this particular filter was used. I don’t know how it works but it doesn’t apply to all images, so I normally fiddle a round with a few until the system lets me do what I want. I am trying now and I get the message all the time with puzzled people or question marks

you can drag and drop any picture ( so you don’t ned to click on the icon first), but it still tell you that you are not allowed to use that picture, the funny thing is that this is also sometimes from https://www.fujirumors.com I logged out ands still see this

actually there have been complaints for both and I don’t have any problem with either one of them

The AF focus Release/Focus priority are to be found in the AF menu if you have it on release ( which I postulate you do) the camera will shoot before it has achieved focus. http://fujifilm-x.com/af/en/af_guide/point02.html RELEASE/FOCUS PRIORITY RELEASE Shutter response is prioritized over focus. Pictures can be taken when the camera is not in focus. FOCUS Focus is prioritized over shutter response. Pictures can be only taken when the camera is in focus. In single mode you cant see all the ++++++ showing where you could focus during the shooting but you will of course see the shooting quadrangle if you have enabled it in the screen options.. I no longer have your lens but it was one of the first lenses that I have bought few years ago and I never had this problem However I never use : Pre-AF AF illuminator Check if any of those options is also enabled that might slow down focussing and if you have “ release” enabled this might explain what you have Go through this page http://fujifilm-x.com/af/en/af_guide/index.html

there are extensive explanations here https://www.fujirumors.com/using-auto-iso/ As for stupidity I’d say it is a choice and like many choices some will like them and some won’t. You don’t. Most probably the majority does or otherwise it won’t be like this. No, I don’t use it, I like to think that I am using film and behave as I have always done for years and years. Chose the ISO for the situation ( and hope for certain results) and then go on until I no longer find it convenient.

Mike, I’ve never heard that the crop that you’ve done, on its own, can augment noise. You should have plenty to crop from your 24MP. This image is 258Kb. Unless this was 1% part of the total surface when you shot it. Then it might. Anyway processing certainly can. I’d suggest to give the NIK suite (free) a try. As you can see I did this from the picture that you published here and managed (did nothing else than putting it through the automatic engine) to get quite a bit of noise out. I am extremely happy with it.
-
a marigold by any other name.... ... would be a calendula! The noise is really very very high indeed, was it something you wanted (1600 ISO)? Perhaps a little enthusiastic processing? you could bring it down a little if you wanted with Google NIK D fine

it is possible that you have your camera set up to shoot independently whether focus has achieved or not and that you are pressing wile moving the camera or before it has actually focussed so shooting quickly in sequence identical pictures will result in the “ first” being blurred and the other being sharp. Do check your AF set ups menu.

24mm ? Samyang 24mm tilt shift in Fuji mount

I suppose you have left the cap lock on and instead of 2 your wrote @. First of all have you checked that this inability to focus is with all lenses? In that case it might be the body. In case it is only on one lens then it is the lens and not the camera. No Fuji lens or cameras, that I know, has mechanical autofocus ( like some NIKONs) but they all have focus by wire, the inability to autofocus might lay with the body or ( and who knows, perhaps AND) the lens. The cracked rear screen is of course a body problem. Should you need to repair both you may want to find out beforehand how much the repair will be. Were you insured ( travel insurance?) when the screen cracked? You may be entitled to an insurance coverage. I don’t think you have West Coast Options as the only repair centra I can find are both on the East Coast http://www.fujifilmusa.com/support/ServiceSupportRepairContent.do?dbid=674543 https://camerarepair.fujifilmusa.com/Forms/RepairForm.htm this is from Fuji site: If you have any questions please contact FUJIFILM at 1-800-659-3854

...Cheers Johan It looks like a good translation with exception of “ uitgesteld voor onbepaalde tijd” which in this context , when it is followed by “ maar gaat zeker komen” has a different meaning than the one they translated. ( the Dutch writer would have better expressed this by using “ Tijdelijk Uitgesteld “ instead of “ uitgesteld voor onbepaalde tijd” ) I suggest this alternative translation which probably clarifies The update appears to be more complicated that initially anticipated and has been temporarily delayed, however, it is sure that it will come. It is important, of course, that this update works well without problems or errors.

I understand that this involves exclusively the compatibility of the cameras bodies with 80mm, so if you don’t own this lens it is probably best NOT to do the Update since you never know what can go wrong with any update. Personally I only carry out updates that are necessary or useful. Not owning this lens makes this update, to me, irrelevant. Should I ever buy it( I doubt) then at that point I would.

X-T1 still f/s at relatively high prices, do they sell?
milandro replied to milandro's topic in Fuji X-T1 / Fuji X-T10
actually I wan’t talking of used prices, but new “ old stock" -
yes, these days everyone feels that everything should be personalized to one’s taste or needs (whether they are real needs is a different thing). I take a realist view to all of this and think that it will come to fruition if it possible at some stage, in the meantime I adapt and use what’s available within the limitations (mine or the equipment).
-
in some cameras they are under a menu. I don’t mind to have them where they are in my X-T1 and yes, they are not much used the main reason being that it is not possible to shoot with them whilst shooting raw as well ( which I believe would be a real game changer in the use of these “ special effects” since you will have a back up without the effect).

OP refers to advanced filter options (different position in different cameras) Follow the link please! http://fujifilm-dsc.com/en/manual/x-t2_v21/taking_photo/filter/index.html

no there is no other way to activate the autofocus area (leaving all the ++++ on) in single focus mode that I know of. You need to press the button, chose the area, from the on the +++++ grid will disappear and you will only see (provided you have it on) the focussing area, but not the grid, in your finder. For moving subjects there is the possibility for the cameras to follow focusing , you can also have the camera focussing on the left or right eye ( but this is not to everyone’s liking). this is about the X-T1 but it features the same autofocus specs that your camera has. See it summarized here.
-
I don’t understand what you mean by “ a specific AF sensor” , you only have one and you can change its size and position at will on the grid of + signs. If you want to see the grid with all the + all the time in your screen, I am afraid you can’t ( nor would I understand why would anyone want to do this).
-
well I described it to you, I can do it again but won’t change much. I will do a step by step assuming you know absolutely nothing about Fuji cameras. go to the wrench menu 1 the last menu of the series is the screens set up enter the last of all the options there is the screen custom settings the 3rd is the af frame tick it on as for the image showing after the shot same menu wrench 1 enter chose 1st option enter chose between continuous 1,5 sec 0,5 sec off Seriously this is all very basic and all contained in the manual , it is not a reproach or patronizing but you really need to go trough all the menu options one by one , hopefully while reading the manual, to find out what you have in you hands. Good luck! Persevere.
-
As I see it you must have switched this function off as it is on by default. http://fujifilm-dsc.com/en/manual/x-t2/menu_setup/screen_set-up/index.html#disp_custom_setting Open the EVF LCD settings. Go Display Custom settings Focus frame (set on ) Go through these functions at least once to know what they do, go also through the manual at least once to see what the camera does. Good luck!

Not one replacement has been necessary, nearly 4 years and still going strong. I can’t understand what makes some camera’s skins come off and some others not. BTW despite an intense use of the card door it too has no “ swelling” ( The battery door is used only when it needs to be)

a watermark is not a signature that shows in the pictures https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_watermarking https://www.thoughtco.com/what-is-a-watermark-1701744 I sign my pictures but I don’t bother watermarking them

probably to do with the fact that OP has loaded the page with his phone... using tapatalk
