  1. Hi, I had the XC50-230 and found picture quality very poor versus my non-XC telephoto lenses, including the 55-200. I got rid of it. I used it with my X-E2 and then my X-T20.
  2. I had the same issue when I first got my XE-2. That's the way the system works. It won't let you underexpose. Full manual gets over that, but you have to get ISO and aperture right for the speed, obviously. But if it is shutter speed that is key, I shoot in shutter priority, set ISO and let aperture run free. But I take test shots to get an idea of the aperture, however.
  3. I love these bulbs and catching the glowing filaments within. Probably not ecofriendly, however. Sent from my G3121 using Tapatalk
  4. There are two settings in my X-E2. But even the smallest is wide. I suggest you go with that and crop in post processing. But I live panoramas shot in camera. Sent from my G3121 using Tapatalk
  5. Yes. I have the same bag. Like you, I have an X-E2, 18-135, 55-200 plus can get an 18 mm and a 35 mm lens in the bag, assuming one of the big lenses is on the camera. Flash unit (EF20) goes in side pocket and spare batteries, SD cards and remote release in front, with camera manual in the back zipper. I have had the bag for about two years now and am very happy with it. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  6. Are you in manual focus mode when you try this? Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  7. Early November is my current timing. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  8. I would imagine that, as a camera maker, it does not wish to compete with software developers such as Adobe and, especially, Silkypix developer ISL. It is augmenting what it already has, but a TIF export ought not to be a stretch too far. But as I have an X-E2, I am currently precluded from this club, anyway. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  9. Beautiful shots. I intend heading to Iceland to get some shots next year. Hope I can reach something close to this standard. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  10. What software did you use before? I tried Luminar and, like you, found opening raf files very slow. Also didn't think sharpness/detail versus Silkypix was as good. I have left Lightroom after a year following latest update. Again, I find Silkypix a better tool to render good jpegs versus LR. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  11. I have been told by Silkypix developer ISL that Globell BV is no longer selling Silkypix. You cannot buy it from the EU website. If you want to buy or try, contact info_english@isl.co.jp, they will respond helpfully, but recognise the large time difference, which adds a day to any conversation. I am currently going through the upgrade process. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  12. I have just had a response from Japan. "Due to various circumstances, Globell B.V. is currently stopping selling." I am being offered help to upgrade via the ISL online store, which I will do. So, for anybody wanting Silkypix, contact info_english@usl.co.jp. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  13. I have again reported it via that support form. That will be the third time. It has been non-functional for a week. I will let you know if I get a response. Please let me know if they respond to you. At least I now know it not only me that is seeing the issue. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks. I have tried several times to buy an upgrade to Pro7 but nothing gets added to the basket. Tried Edge, Firefox and Chrome on W10 machine. Getting no response from any email I send to as many email addresses as I can find, including Silkypix Japan. May try using a Linux machine to get the exe downloaded. 15. Hi, I have been trying to buy the upgrade to SP 8 pro (have Pro 7), but the EU website has problems. Where did you get Pro8 from? Was it an upgrade? Thanks. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
