Thanks Patrick! My roster has not been favourable last few months, lots of daytime flights when there is too much light, or nighttime when it's too dark

So many options to build a bag, this would be my generic natural light portrait shoot bag. I bring an old roller suitcase for my tripod, flash gear and other accessories if I need artifical light. Digital Fujifilm X-T1 Fujifilm X100T Fujinon 16/1.4 Fujinon 56/1.2 APD Film Hasselblad 503CW Mamiya 6 Zeiss 120/4 Mamiya 75/3.5 Spare film and a spare back for the Hasselblad. Spare batteries and memory cards, a lens pen, a microfiber cloth, a lightmeter.

23 and 56 is a classic combo. I often go for 16 and 56 too.

Oh, and I just lift my glasses up when shooting with the viewfinder on the X-T1. I have - 3.25 on my worst eye. Works just fine that way too.

Definitely option 2 yes, I am a glasses wearer too. I can get by in a pinch without them when I'm at home. Being far sighted seems much more demanding. When you are near sighted, you can just keep your glasses on all the time. It becomes second nature, I don't notice it anymore.

If you're interested in portraits, I'd save your money for maybe a speedlight and a softbox. You have plenty of focal lengths covered already.

I expect the same new features as the X-Pro 2, with maybe more expanded video features and a tilt screen. Would be very surprised if it's more than that.

I got my stuff in The Netherlands, I had to send in my 56 1.2 APD twice, and twice they lent me a replacement for the period it took to repair at no charge. Under warranty though. The time it took to service my lens was quite long, that definitely needs improvement...

The crank was not just a backup. The motor drive is quite noisy on the f4. And it uses a lot of battery juice. Sometimes cranking it just was the best option :-)

I have the APD. It's brilliant. Focus is alright on the X-T1, I mainly use single autofocus for slow subjects or street. The bokeh is to die for

I looked through my work from last year, using Lightroom to narrow down my lens use. The verdict: 42% 56mm (56 1.2 APD) 31% 23mm (X100T) 14% 16mm (16 1.4) 08% 33mm (X100T with TCL) 05% other (50-140 2.8 & film cameras) So I'll stick to my 16, 23 & 56 for the time being. I like the new 35 f2 & 90 f2, but I won't buy one anytime soon... Maybe I'll consider the 120 2.8 macro once it's available.

If condition is good, I always buy used lenses. I don't care at all about cosmetic problems, as long as the mechanics are fine. Usually saves me lots of money. New gear can have issues too. Both 35's are great, big difference for me apart from price, is the decision if you prefer WR or a stop faster aperture?
