  1. OK fair enough - if you follow the various Fujifilm forums discussion of tilting vs flippy screen is a sensitive subject - people have strong preferences. I like the tilting screen but rarely take selfies or use the camera for Youtube like videos so don't need it to completely rotate.
  2. Wouldn't it have just as easy with the old style (X-T3) tilting screen (without the screen being off to the side of the camera)?
  3. Sounds like you have HDR set https://fujifilm-dsc.com/en/manual/x-t30-2/menu_shooting/shooting_setting/#hdr
  4. Card reader seems to work - no wires and there are plenty of USB-C card readers that would work with Thunderbolt. If you mean using wi-fi then its pretty limited.
  5. Maybe non-zero setting for Clarity?
  6. I was going to try and help - but too late it seems
  7. Sparrows are small and erratic and fly against difficult backgrounds - I've been OK with gulls flying against a background of sky or water.
  8. I don't understand the big deal about this - ISO can be assigned to the dpad - press up and ISO goes up - press down and ISO goes down - it shows in the EVF but it doesn't fill the EVF and disappears as soon as the change has been made.
  9. Are you current with firmware updates? When you use the card reader what size is the file on the card (using Finder on the Mac)?
  10. You need to use a card reader to transfer files over 4GB - there is a size limit when you connect camera to computer via cable
  11. No - can't be done - its possible on the X-H2S so presumably a quick firmware fix - maybe we'll see it added
  12. Is it always exactly 9 shots? That sounds like some sort of bracketing - can you post a link to an original file so that we can see your settings?
  13. If this is for the X-H2S then the custom settings are for everything - you can't pick and choose which things you want to save
  14. You already have the latest firmware for the X-T2 - FWUP0005.DAT is for the X-T1
  15. I believe all recent cameras work as you say for the X-T3 - haven't tried x100T or X-T1. You might try using AF-ON (and turn focus off from the shutter button) if you want a one button focus (which son't change when you finally press the shutter).
  16. Look in the setup menus under Button/Dial settings and see Command Dial Setting -the dial settings depend which mode you are in (PASM)
  17. One thing I would recommend is to set up C1-C7 using X Raw Studio on a computer - especially if you are going to create long names - much easier with a full size keyboard
  18. https://fujifilm-x.com/global/support/download/lut/
  19. They are all in the same zip file on the Fujifilm software download site
  20. Got it thanks - it seems to happen when there is a very high contrast shot - perhaps the camera is trying to do some sort of HDR processing? (I've managed to duplicate the same effect with my camera)
  21. The only ways I can get the camera to show the "storing" message while it writes is to set either Clarity or HDR - neither of which can be selected in full auto mode. Even a very slow card does not show that message. I'm out of ideas. Perhaps you could post a link to a file when this occurs (straight out of camera) so that we can see all of your settings.
  22. The most likely reason is that you have the top dial set to Auto. If you change to P,A,S,M or one of the custom setting banks then it should be possible to use ES.
  23. Is it always slow? Is it only slow in Auto mode? Are there specific situations when it is slow? What do you mean by "camera is terribly slow"? DO you mean when writing to the card? Does the light flash when it is slow? What card do you have?
  24. The V10 speed class guarantees a continuous rate of 80 Mbits/second which is only fast enough for the lowest resolution video - sometimes the cards are conservatively rated and might be a little faster in practice but its much better to get at least a V30 card (and these cards are relatively inexpensive these days)
  25. In aperture priority - set the lens wide open - choose a scene with objects at different distances - now press the button you have assigned to "PREVIEW DEPTH OF FIELD" and the effect should be obvious. (I checked it with X-S10 but X-T4 should be much the same - its not something I ever use as half press will do the same and also focus on the subject)
