I'd guess its only the latest models - for sure its available for the X-S10 but not X-T3 - documentation could be better

What should DSCF # start at with a new camera?
Greybeard replied to Luna's topic in Fuji X-T3 / Fuji X-T30
The first "1" was the folder number - only the last three digits were the image number. So your camera started at 1. (This behaviour changed in firmware version 3.2 and now all four digits represent the image number) -
I know this is quite an old post but I would take the information from Fujifilm USA - its quite likely that a change of main board caused the change in serial number reported by the EXIF (and your local repair centre just didn't bother to change the label). I'm not sure it would be something that would bother me too much so long as the camera work OK.

What were you expecting and what do you plan to do with the exported files? Is this Lightroom or Lightroom Classic? I think it works the way you describe with all raw files - if you export original then you get the original (which is the raf file) with metadata describing any changes you made in Lightroom saved to the xmp file. If you want the exported files to contain any changes you made then export them as jpg or something similar rather than original.

X-S10 auto ISO restricted to 1/500 sec
Greybeard replied to DaveC's topic in Fuji X-S10 / Fuji X-S20
Yes this is true for the X-S10 - I think its the same for all Fujifilm X-Series cameras. The only clumsy workaround I've found is to use one of the command dials as program shift - but it has to be done every time the camera is turned on or wakes from sleep. -
It wasn't just me then

Remove in-camera crop on RAW files?
Greybeard replied to Issaius's topic in RAW Conversion Fuji X Photos
If its the same as other Fujifilm cameras it should only crop jpgs and should store them in separate files. I'd be happy to look at the file and see if I can find a problem. -
fuji x raw conversion software with Big Sur
Greybeard replied to Timelapser's topic in RAW Conversion Fuji X Photos
A bit slow maybe and the software is still written for Intel but it seems to work. Are you having problems? -
How do you "Quick Format" your memory card in the SX-10?
Greybeard replied to Tom W's topic in Fuji X-S10 / Fuji X-S20
I find it as quick to format the card on the XS-10 as other Fuji cameras. Its a few movements of the joystick after selecting menu. On the X-T3 I always misjudge the long press on the X-T3 and have to start over. -
If the card is formatted and empty (except for the firmware file which is in the root directory) - then the problem is almost always that the name of the file is wrong. Make sure its is: FWUP0024.DAT Exactly that without any suffixes And make sure the file is 51.3MB

Is there a disadvantage to leaving it set to on?

Does anyone still have firmware 2.12 or 2.00 for XT2?
Greybeard replied to tedzz's topic in Fuji X-T2 / Fuji X-T20
You may already know this - but you can't install an older firmware version if you are already beyond 2.12 -
You mean when the drive dial on top of the camera is turned to Auto? In that mode the camera always chooses - as far as I can see it always chooses AF-S - lens doesn't make any difference.

Date and time showing every time getting into live view
Greybeard replied to ondrejkonrad's topic in General Discussion
I must admit I had never noticed this before - looks like it happens on all X cameras - don't think there is any way to prevent it -
Are you using Focus Check? The point of the zoomed view is so that you can verify (or fine tune the focus).
-
IBIS and OIS work together for Fujifilm lenses - you can't use IBIS without OIS (for an OIS lens).
-
Its a bit of a pain - I did it for the X-T30 - Bill's contact details are on his web site - if you email him he'll explain the process.
-
if the OP is interested in getting information about the X-S10 I'd suggest getting involved and post data to Bill Claff at the Photons to Photos web site so that he can include it in his results

Menu position not saved when coming out of menu.
Greybeard replied to King Ebow's topic in Fuji X-T3 / Fuji X-T30
It should remember the menu item provided: - you weren't using one of the setup menus - the camera doesn't sleep - you don't turn the camera off - you aren't using My Menu Otherwise it will either return to the first My Menu item or (if there are no My Menu items) the first I.Q. Menu Item Its the way it works and there doesn't appear to be any way to change it. -
Front Wheel Dial Not Consistently Working
Greybeard replied to Jennifer's topic in Fuji X-T3 / Fuji X-T30
Mine works OK with the latest firmware release so I don't think that is the issue but I notice someone else has reported a similar problem only yesterday on a different forum (there weren't any responses): https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/64922634
