  1. Hello to all. I hope this has not been covered - I have not been able to locate this specific issue in the threads thus far - perhaps I am not searching for the right topic so I am sorry if this has been addressed. Recently, within the last couple of XT-4 updates I have noticed a change in my settings I cannot account for. I typically shoot landscape and wildlife images. Frequently of late, when I turn the camera on and begin to shoot I notice I do not have control of my photometry and after shooting for a couple of minutes I realize that face detect settings have turned themselves back on after I have previously turned them off. I go into the Q menu and have to turn face detect OFF and then reshoot my images with the proper photometry settings enabled. When I turn the camera off and come back to it later I am finding that face detect has turned itself back on without my having prompted it to do so. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this, if it is a normal "default" for it to be on at start up and if there is a way to gain full control of the setting to only engage it when you need it? I have read multiple issues involving the face/eye detect turning itself OFF due to certain in camera settings but I have found nothing about it repeatedly turning itself on. Thank you to any who might understand what is causing this.
  2. Hello. I hope this hasn't been asked already. I didn't see the topic - With most of my Fuji cameras to quick format the memory card you simply hold the trash can icon for 3 seconds and then press in the rear wheel dial to bring up the screen. That is not possible on the SX-10 as near as I can see and I can't seem to program it into my Q menu or one of the other customizable buttons. I was just wondering if anyone knew any work around besides having to dive into the menu each time you insert a card? I couldn't find this topic on the camera FAQ page - perhaps I'm not searching for the right topic? Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Thanks! Sorry for fat-fingering the topic title, I meant XS-10.
  3. Hello all. If this has been addressed already I apologize - I was not able to locate a topic. Perhaps not searching the right keywords. I have seen videos on how to properly clean the IBIS sensor in the XH-1 but as of yet I have been unable to find specifics in my manual or in the usual youtube sources specifically for the XT-4. I imagine some of the processes are the same but as the XT-4 uses a different IBIS mechanism and the menus operate a bit differently I was wondering if anyone knows the specific, proper steps to cleaning the sensor? - I would think it would be similar. Turn off the IBIS mech in the menus, make sure the camera is ON and follow the standard swabbing procedure. In the XH-1 it seems you need to make sure that shoot with lens OFF/ON is turned to the OFF position but on my XT-4 I don't seem to have an option for that in the menus or at least I have not found it so I don't know if this is an issue or not. If anyone has a process for sensor cleaning I would be very grateful to know it. Thanks in advance for anyone who has some tips. Tom
  4. Thanks LeonD. I was thinking that was the case but could find nothing in Fuji Manual to clarify that. That is what I have been doing uncertain it was the right thing. Until now. Much obliged!
  5. I'm new here. What is your post called and where do I find it? That is kind of a vague answer but I appreciate the reply.
  6. Hello. Very new here. I have the Fuji XT-4 with the most current firmware as of July 2020. In the menus there are two options for IBIS - Continuous & Shooting Only. I can't seem to find anything in the user manual or online about this - maybe I'm not looking in the right places. Can anyone please advise on how to turn the In Body Image Stabilization to "OFF" for shooting on a tripod? I've heard some folks talk that you don't really need to do this as this mechanism may not introduce "shake" the way some IBIS systems do. However, I don't see an option for OFF in the camera menu. Just Continuous or Shooting. Anyone have any experience they can offer? I imagine I am just missing it. Thanks in advance! Tom
