  1. Very nice shot. I like the details in the article.
  2. Very nice. It looks like you timed your visit well.
  3. It would be a nice enhancement for Fuji to put a small lock button in the center that you have to depress to change the exposure compensation dial. Alternately, it could require pulling the dial up to unlock. Either would eliminate the problem.
  4. Nice shots. I like the dream like quality.

    Fuji IR

Great photos. I am thinking I need to get a camera converted for IR use.
  6. Beautiful photos. Nice work.

I also like the headlight shot. It captures a certain sense of style and intensity.
  10. I also have had to make it a matter of routine to check settings as I turn the camera on. I have missed a few shots because I didn't do that. I wish there was some way to lock everything until I want to make a change.
  11. It is a tough choice. I recently had to make the same decision and I went with the 10-24, which is a very nice lens. I don't know if that helps, but the 10-24 is very sharp and easy to work with. The 16mm is quite a bit faster, if that makes a difference. They are both fairly heavy, so that isn't very different. The ability to adjust the focal length was a key feature for me. Good luck on your decision. I think either will be a good serviceable lens.
  12. Nice shot. I would say that boat is beyond salvage.
  13. Many have wondered that very question. I have no direct knowledge on this, but the current rumor is that it will be out late this year. I am not sure what 'late' means, but I would figure on maybe December. I think I am going to order a 60mm Fuji because I have things I would like to shoot now.
  14. Beautiful shot. If it gets better, I would like to see it.
  15. To quote an American folk hero: What you have to ask yourself is "Do I feel lucky"? Most problems show up quickly, so the basic one year warranty will probably take care of likely problems. It seems like the biggest question is whether you can get it serviced by Fuji in the future? In many cases, the original manufacturer will not work on a unit that was not sold under their terms and conditions for the country in question. If that is the case, who will work on it? I have no experience with this particular product and the associated service issues, but I have bought some gray market gear over the years. Some worked out and some didn't.
  16. Very nice. Thanks for posting.
  17. Great story. It seems you have followed the example of Alfred Stieglitz. Well done.
