18mm f2 lens is great for hiking. It’s small, it’s light, and it is wide enough to give you fine landscapes, without being too wide for people shots/environmental portraits. WR would make it better still - maybe a new version will have it.
I went to Arctic Norway for a trip a few weeks back and used the 18mm exclusively

Arriving in Accra, Ghana. Pictures taken on a plane and a transit bus, so not technically 'street' but the crowded conditions allowed me to get right up close to people. XPro2, 18mm f2

I’m interested in how people on the forum compose photos.
I have a multi-stage approach.
I have my camera set up with a rule-of-thirds grid in the viewfinder, with my focus point typically around the top left or top right intersection.
Then I take lots of photos to get one shot - sometimes 50 or 100.
I’ll go through them in Lightroom looking for the ones where my subjects are interacting with each other or the camera, where there’s a story and emotion to what they’re doing.
Then I’ll crop using one of the Lightroom composition overlays. I use the spiral a lot, and then diagonals or rule of thirds.
This picture was cropped using the spiral.
Here’s a slightly more detailed Golden Ratio spiral overlaid onto it:
Interestingly in this case the spiral also works in the other main orientations

X100t is small. Just get a bag for your laptop and slip your x100t in it, or in your pocket!

Great for wildlife and sports photographers who want a well-balanced camera for big lenses that’s a little smaller than a comparable DSLR. Not so great for people who value the lightweight compactness of the XPro and XT cameras. I won’t be buying one - but I will buy the XPro3, 4, 5...

XF23mm f2, f11, zone focussing. I like this method - you don't have to worry about whether you'll get the focus right. Essentially, if it's 3 feet away or further, it's in focus

How about the new Laowa 9mm? It’s small, it’s light, it’s ultra wide and it’s optically corrected. People like Jonas Rask are raving about it. It’s also very different from the focal lengths you currently have.
