Flash with a of cord
NSFW replied to Wbillwade@verizon.net's topic in Fuji X-Pro 1 / Fuji X-Pro 2 / Fuji X-Pro 3
It would be wise to first test the voltage of the flash with a multi-meter. If it's under 300v, you are good to go. -
Have you tried cleaning the contacts on the lens (and body)?

Unless money is an issue, use both.

Other than a B+W UV 'lens cap' on my 27mm, I don't use filters for protection.

I keep a plastic garbage bag packed in the camera bag. It has come in handy many times here in sunny Florida.

I had the 410. It was great for macro work, but was heavy and bulky. I prefer a good, high quality ballhead for what I do. If you end up with one, Hejnar makes an arca-swiss conversion kit that I highly recommend.

Warning, Fuji 50-140mm - bad deal from one of official US Fuji Dealer
NSFW replied to yukosteel's topic in Fuji X Lenses
They are suggesting that you are trying to a swap out a lens you already own for one in better condition? I would be pissed. I would open up a ebay case immediately and return the lens. If the serial number on the lens doesn't match the receipts sn, you wouldn't have any warranty at all. -
Newbie X-T1 owner, what do I need to take close macro shots?

You could also go down the path of adapted lenses. There are plenty of excellent (and cheap) old MF macro lenses out there. -
Actually the adapter should have a thickness of 26.8mm (Minolta flange distance is 44.5mm) Any shorter, it will focus past infinity. Any longer, it will never focus at infinity.

If you are measuring between 28-29mm on a FD-FX adapter, then you have found the problem.

How high of voltage? Most (if not all) Fuji x cameras are safe up to 300v. I purchased a Wein Safe-Sync years ago but nowadays just use wireless triggers.
-
Kipon makes good adapters and should be able to focus at infinity. Measure the adapter length, it should be 24.3mm (mount to mount). Any longer than that and it wont focus at infinity.

I mostly shoot landscapes, still life, and street. 10-24 27 55-200 will likely buy the 35 /1.4 (again) I also have a few fast Nikkor primes (mf) that gets used often.
