Hi erwiuewurwehu,

all of my photos are spontaneous, none are posed.

I don't really "create" them.... I steal them ;) but don't tell anybody  :D

Street photography is not art, it is theft :o

You can see a lot more of my work if you click the links below, or visit one of my exhibitions.

Wow. Keep them coming. They are a real inspiration. Maybe one day you can post a tutorial of do's and don'ts for street photography....

Sadly I don't think it's something you can teach.

Everybody is born with a talent, a gift..... the lucky ones get to discover what their talent is, but others search their whole lives for what they want to do, instead of what they CAN do.

Schumacher, Pavarotti, Pelé, Mohammed Ali, and so many others were born with abilities.  None of them can or could really explain how they do it, they just know they were born to do it, and none of them could ever achieve success in another's field.

Just follow your instincts, wherever they lead.  I can't explain how, but I can share what I can do, and hopefully others will be encouraged by my photos.

Photography was my trade for about 23 years until I gave up in 1997.  I didn't intend to ever touch another camera, but about 4 or 5 years ago I wanted to see what digital was all about, so I bought a camera, and photography got me back.
I can't explain, but I can try to encourage :)

The following is one of my street favourites, but it features the finger so I'm posting only the link here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/_husky_/16117159547

It's a famous barber shop but one ironically with very poor reviews, including impolite staff (as if you can't tell from the photo). Apparently the client laughed when she told him I just photographed them through the window, and at first I couldn't tell if she really meant that gesture or if she was fooling around with me. So I went round to the front of the shop, thinking to thank them and leave them my card (I had one other, better and less-controversial pic of them) as I quite often do when I'm 'discovered' by my subject/s while streeting, but was very rudely shooed away without so much as a chance to explain what I was doing.

    • I have the x-t5 and the H1 too but only with the X-T5 it happens what you has told. I discovered that if you set the Af-s the problem disappears. Only with the af-c with a half -press on the shutter button reveals tha maximum iso, otherwise with set the af-s it is shown the iso measured by the camera.
    • Found the simple answer to my own question. Having assigned Auto ISO to the rear dial, I only have to push in the dial to make the Auto ISO options appear, then turn the dial to choose. Nice and fast.
    • Hello All, I am returning to photography after a decades-long hiatus that was prompted by my loss of access to a darkroom. Digital rendered that excuse moot, so I now return with a recently purchased XT5. I am from the Hudson River Valley in New York where I have spent the past five decades engaged in environmental work, mostly on the Hudson. I teach at Pace University where I direct the Gale Epstein Center for Technology, Policy and the Environment. My project ahead is documenting the unseen Hudson, a combination of the obscure, under-appreciated, and invisible - a street-style approach to people, places and things that make the river what it is. There will be little landscape, if any. The "Mighty Hudson" is well-documented. If nothing else, it will be a mission-driven project to bring me back to photography while learning my camera. I look forward to everything this amazing site can teach me. Cronin
    • Hi,   I would really appreciate if someone could answer this question. Is it possible to have the X-T4 shoot in AF-S for photo mode and AF-C in video mode while the front lever is left at AF-S?  If so, how would this be done or wher in the menu system would I set this up? This is similare to setting the apeture at f/2.8 for photo mode but fioming at f/4 in video which I already have setup. Thanks and kind regards
    • According to the manual you can assign auto ISO to any one of the function buttons but I've never tried it. (It's not something I frequently change so all my function buttons do other things.)
