  1. Another + vote for the Patona batteries. I bought 4 of them for my wife who went trekking in Peru with the X-Pro2. I bought her the portable charger which came with 2 of the "yellow batteries" as well as 2 of the "green batteries". I've used them on both the X-T2 and X-Pro2 with no noticeable difference in performance to the original Fuji batteries. https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B00BBYF3Q0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B01DDP9BKI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

  3. I've just come across this thread, it looks to me like sensor corrosion and not dust. I had a similar issue with both my Leica M9s and my Monochrome which also had a cracked sensor to top it all (see image below). The give away is the dark spots surrounded by lighter circles, which is what seems to appear in your images as well. It's noticeable in the bottom RH corner of your image #1. I'm taking a wild guess here, maybe that's why Sony stopped making these sensors? Send the camera back to Fuji, even if it's out of warranty, this is not normal. To their credit, Leica repaired all 3 cameras free of charge even though the warranty had expired some years prior. Good luck & best, Mike

  7. Or you can use it and put it through its paces; my M9 has been all over Africa, Antarctica and India with me over the past 7 years. It went to Leica to have the sensor replaced, FOC. While it was there they offered to also replace the top cover at a cost of several hundred Euro. I declined, I figured that they should rather be paying me a premium for my cover plate, seeing that they're using these cover plates on the Lenny Kravitz version, and selling them at a rather inflated price!
  8. Have a look at Artisan & Artist straps, there's a wide variety of adjustable straps. http://www.artisan-n-artist.com/product.php?nid=3 I just purchased the black silk cord for my X-Pro2, finally a camera strap that I really like! http://www.artisan-n-artist.com/product_detail.php?id=115 They're rather pricey, but quality is fantastic.
  9. I purchased a couple of these for the X-Pro2. Easy to fit, perfect size & no air bubbles: http://www.amazon.de/AirGlass-Flexible-Glasfolie-FujiFilm-Schutzfolie/dp/B01BCHL2B0?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 They also make one for the X70, also very easy to fit, perfect match for the screen & no effect on using the touch screen: http://www.amazon.de/AirGlass-Flexible-Glasfolie-FujiFilm-Schutzfolie/dp/B01BCHLV7A?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
  10. I agree. The more I use the ISO dial the more I really like it! I was doing some low light photography this evening, and as others have said here, it gets even better when you adjust the dial and are able to monitor the ISO change in the EVF.

  12. I'm with you on this. I've been using Lightroom for years with my Leica M8 & M9, I had also purchased Iridient some years ago, which I used only occasionally. Since moving to Fuji last year I've been using Iridient almost exclusively, I can't even remember when I last used LR. As you've mentioned in your post, I've found Iridient overall better and less "cumbersome" to work with. They deserve to be supported.
  13. When I'm on safari I always use UV filters to protect my lenses in the harsh, dusty conditions. This habit goes back 40 years and I'm pleased to say that in all this time I've never had a lens scratched or damaged. I've only ever used B+W filters. What's the point of placing a cheap piece of glass in front of a high quality optic?
  14. My suggestion before going public, is to inform the seller that you're going to take this up with both Fuji and eBay. Open up a case with eBay as you've done, on the basis that the "item does not match seller's description", return the lens and request a refund. I would also be really pissed off at his suggestion that you've swapped lenses! Did you pay via Paypal? If so, you also have recourse through Paypal, even though (as far as I'm aware) eBay owns Paypal.... My 10 cents worth of advice- for eBay purchases I always pay with my AMEX card via Paypal. This gives me double security should Paypal or eBay delay or refuse the refund. I register a dispute with AMEX who immediately reverse the charge. Check and see if the other card companies have a similar policy. I've purchased a pile of photo equipment on eBay over the past 12 years and only had an issue once, when I received a damaged lens. I contacted the seller who tried to duck out and get clever, I had AMEX reverse the charge and returned the lens; end of story issue resolved. Keep us posted, would like to hear the outcome of this story. Good luck!
  15. Having looked at the full size images, all shot at f2- in my view, on the X-Pro2 the Fuji 56mm outperforms the Leica 50mm ASPH & the Contax Zeiss 45mm. The Contax comes a close second after the Fuji in terms of overall image quality and detail. In the close up crops above have a look at the man in the green jacket on the left, and compare the detail and sharpness on his face, tie and jacket.
