  1. That would only mean same size but bigger glass.
  2. Updated the XPro1 an 55-200. OIS lateral "freezing" during initial pre focus seems to be slightly briefer. Haven't really checked out other parts. This was my only complain with the lens. Everything else feels normal.
  3. If money isn't a problem, currently it's still the xf35 F1.4........until the mk2 comes out.
  4. With software based perspective correction, just remember to shoot slightly wider. Depending on the distortion angle, the corrected perspective may end up hugely cropped.
  5. It's just his personal opinion at best......some are on point. I kinda stopped taking him too seriously when I bought the Nikon D7000 that he claimed was the best crop factor dslr in the world at that point in time. It was everything but! I was already using my 5Dc and I was utterly disappointed with his recommendation. He's still a good read once in a while.
  6. Yeah, that's why I haven't pulled the trigger on the VND yet. Apart from the 3x neutral ND which came with my lens, I use the 4x and 8x Rodenstock HR Digital ND. The Fujifilm 3x or Rodenstock 4x are very versatile and probably the best for outdoor portrait. The 8x is good for strob + motion blurr kinda photography....or just to blur out moving water, etc.
  7. 12mm + 56mm would be my take. 12 + 23 + 56 combo should be a really nice suite of lenses for your kind of photography.
  8. Send it to FujiGlitch! I have a similar looking dobro to Mark. Only problem is the more I play it, the shinier it gets!
  9. $1,499.00 at launch then it will drop to $1,299.00 after 6 months.
  10. Wow...must have been a shock. The PC cord probably isn't properly insulated or they may be using materials with the wrong dielectric properties!
  11. I use Rodenstock ND with great effect on my xf56. I was also thinking about trying this variable ND, purely for "one filter for all" during travel. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/936135-REG/rodenstock_605890_58mm_digital_vario_nd.html Rodenstock's uv filter is by far the most "effective" (cost considered as well) of others I've tried. I hear good reviews about Singh-Ray and Lee but be prepared to pay. There are a great many brands all with their own "characteristics".
  12. That's it! I'm ditching my XPro2!
  13. Good pointer. Nice photos.
  14. The Kipon T&S adapter is quite fun to use. Some examples with the Samyang 24 T&S. Stitched results look good. And the architectural one. I'll wait for OP to let us know what he intends it for. http://www.fujix-forum.com/threads/tilt-shift-lenses-for-the-x-pro-1.44289/
  15. 17mm is my favorite for t&s. I didn't want to push it as I wasn't sure how serious OP is into real estate photography. If it's for a RE sales brochure, sure any wide angle will do. If it's for photography, I highly recommend a T&S. However, good point on the 24mm on crop body. Missed that point as I'm still shooting FF for interiors.
  16. For really good results, use a wide angle tilt and shift with an adapter. Samyang has a T-S 24 F3.5. or if you have an old Canon FD T/S lying around. You'd be good.
  17. With the x-pro2, I can shoot "further" with a tele lens. When I crop tighter, details are better defined and preserved. Color wise, both cameras are very close. White balance are better handled especially in odd lighting. Somehow it translates the lighting much more accurately. However in normal cases, you may not be able to tell them apart. If you are happy with your X-T1, I'd recommend you to wait for the X-T2. It will definitely be the Fujifilm's speed demon. For Pro1 shooters, it's a no brainer as it has better AF and is a much more responsive machine.
  18. I'm guessing that there may be a few reiterations of the same issue. Why do you have double posting of the same topic in the same index?
  19. Painful wait! Having used their i40, I can only imagine how good the i60A will be!
  20. Off would be better.
  21. Yeah. Many have this experience. Hope your camera returns ok. http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/2716-x-pro2-turn-camera-off-and-back-on-error-with-fm-101/page-2
  22. I think that anything is possible. Lighting may just be the annoying culprit. Too many sub standards in lighting nowadays. OTT, some automobile alarm systems have been known to be sensitive to broadband broadcast towers. When parked at a certain distance from these towers, the alarm either don't work or it immobilizes the car entirely. I don't think the "macro" function will work given the exact scenario. All it does is actually limiting the focus hunting to be near the minimum focus distance. That way, the camera would prevent the lens from hunting to infinity and back. I don't see how that may help but it's worth a try. I hope your next experience at a different store / setup will be a positive one. Don't give up. The X-Pro2 and X-T1 as with most of Fujifilm cameras are really a photographic "companion" rather than just a camera.
