  1. Let's hope it's lower than Pentax prices.......well, it'll definitely not be pentax sizes!
  2. Theoretically yes.....but dust will land on the curtain instead and when the curtain is deployed after you've fixed the lens, dust on the curtain will then be distributed all over the insides of the curtain pockets and sensor, among other places. At least, they way it is now, you only need to worry and clean the sensor.
  3. This may sound a bit unusual but it's easier to damage the mechanical shutter than it is the sensor. It is probably best kept out of the way when you expose the camera while changing lenses.
  4. Means coming 1st quarter 2017. Exciting but such a long time...
  5. The xT1 evf is HUGE compared to the xpro1. Real pleasure to view. Xpro1 evf is tiny, jittery and not the best looking. However, if you intend to use Manual lenses, I'd stick with the xpro1 + good filters for now. Try Lee. Main xt1 advantage over the xpro1 are AF speed/tracking & weather sealing. One of which you don't need. If you intend to buy the xpro2 eventually, then forget the xt1. I don't see any real benefits in your case getting the xt1. Picture wise, both the xt1 and xpro1 are about the same. Besides, the xpro2 shutter speed is 1/8000 and there is e-shutter which may help with your 55F0.95 lens.
  6. I fully understand where you are coming from and I agree with you, the Xpro series cameras is formidable for street photography. I wish that the evf would better resemble the LCD too. It takes the frustration out of our minds but I'm thankful I can "ignore" the differences. I was told that Fujifilm does extract our posts here to read. Hopefully they are listening.
  7. Hahaha....one less screw. I'd probably lose sleep over that! I'm just ocd. The only fujinon lens I disassembled (rear mount & element) was the xf18. Unforunately, it was dusty again in no time....
  8. I shoot raw. On casual shoots, I don't worry about wb much. If the lighting is tricky, I shoot a small custom gray card in place first or any adjoining white surfaces. On assignments, I use a custom gray card and sometimes a color checker. I view all my shots through the LCD if I'm not tethering my shots. I never rely on evf for color balance.
  9. Thankfully it's just one hair!
  10. You need to assign the H to iso 51200. (Extended iso). Default setting is 12800. Go into setup (spanner icon in menu) and assign iso sensitivity for H. Look at pg 112 of your xpro2 user manual.
  11. It never occurred to me until this thread. It still doesn't bother me as I use the ovf/evf to compose, focus and check the overall brightness. And in dark conditions, the less I rely on it's color.
  12. You crazy man! Thanks for sharing. How did the dust get in?
  13. The xpro1 may be out resolving your 40D and you may be seeing "artifacts" you may not have noticed before from your adapted lenses. You may have to relearn shooting with your legacy lenses.
  14. You may just be right. Now that they have achieved the highest refresh rate for the xpro2 evf, I suspect the evf of the xt2 will be just as fast and just as big as the xt1's. In that respect, the xt2 will probably be the evf sought after by all. After all, they will need reasons for people to buy the xt2 after the xpro2.
  15. The evf on both the xpro1 and xpro2 are whiter than the LCD. Depending on where you point your af point, awb may turn off-af-point whites slightly "bluish" or cooler in color. Although I seldom see the bluish tint, different people may detect whites differently. I find that the evf of the xpro2 the whitest of all 3 cameras. To me, it's miles ahead of the xpro1 evf.
  16. That's just being human.
  17. Wrong example cited then.
  18. Amazing.
  19. It's around there, what you've shot. Review test buffer shots are sometimes done on simplified settings and shutter speed cranked up, aperture wide open and focus fixed (or switched off). LCD review is switched off and other unnecessary processes turned off. In the real world, if you manage 20+ shot bursts, it's good. Typically I get around 23 -25 buy I usually shoot bursts of 3 - 6 at any one go.
  20. I shoot with xpro1, xt1, xpro2, omd em1, sony a7ii, lx100....... I don't find the xpro2 evf poor at all. Different, yes. In any case, I believe the evf for the XT2 will be built on the evf of the XT1. It should be great.
  21. I agree with you. I think that some people can see a "pattern", feel compelled to translate it to a theorem and if able, quantify it with mathematical calculations of which in this case, isn't done. After all, isn't that what Isaac Newton did when he saw the apple fall? Personally, I believe that everything in the universe has a pattern. What Phoblographer was trying to illustrate is a trend. Successful marketing is achieve either by creating a demand or keeping abreast with contemporary trend. Obviously, the triangles are used to illustrate a shift in contemporary demands. As with any demands, there are opportunities for big business. I think Phoblograper was trying question perhaps contemporary photographers are just driving an unnecessary demand, getting what they want but losing some magic in lenses along the way.....paying silly truck loads of money in the process. I thought it was a good point to ponder on even though the method of how he postulated the triangles remains a debate.
  22. The awb on the xpro2 is fantastic. Sometimes it takes my 5D3 to the awb cleaners. I find that it's ability to translate awkward and uncorrectable color cast really very, very accurate.
