  1. The perks of owning the first few batches.
  2. It'll probably start a couple of months before Christmas 2016. Probably looking at USD799.00 as a starting point. There will probably be a round of promo for the xPro2 during June/July till August. Don't know if x-T1 will benefit. These are from my personal market observations.
  3. Welcome....or rather welcome back! What was the problem with Sony?
  4. I guess adaptive learning comes into the game for me. My eye/mind has adjusted to the evf subliminally that by looking at the evf, I could expect how it will look like on the LCD and subsequently know what to expect on the monitors. It happens so automatically that I don't even think about it or realize I'd been doing that. Anyone here with the same experience?
  5. Okay....tough getting in the field with these guys. Looks great! XPro2 does the job! Well done!
  6. Sorry to hear about your condition. I shoot with my left eye half the time and no issue on any of the X series.
  7. Avoid during close up. EVF, if high precision is needed. Other than that, OVF!
  8. I took this during it's launch with my iphone then. Not too clear but you can see some. I can send you the full res file if you like.
  9. XF16 F1.4 is safer bet for you. Having used to F1.4 and F2, the XF10-24 F4 may be limiting for you especially low light scenes.
  10. Thank you. I didn't even notice this feature. Will try to muck around it.
  11. Football game keeper rate of 80% and 60% for BIF about nails it.
  12. While it's nice to hold, it does make the pro2 a little too tall for me. Keep knocking the upper dials when I take it in and out of my bag.
  13. Not sure if this will help but it made me understand Fujifilm AF a little better when I first got my hands on the x-t1. http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/54753763
  14. For some of us still requiring to shoot fast action shots, we are still shooting different systems. Waiting for the day I can ditch everything else for one system only.
  15. Almost. I can shoot people running on moderate speed and get about 80% of the shot in sharp focus.
  16. Photoshop has given us control of "processing" our "negatives", in this case our raw files. To be a fully accomplished digital photographer, good knowledge of digital darkroom is important. If two photographers with the same gear shooting the same location at the same time with the same settings, how do you tell their work apart?
  17. D7000 focuses better than the X-T1? Nooooo way.....
  18. It's important for me. It brings me closer to what I saw and felt before taking the photograph. I would never replace whole skies like he did. That's more fabrication than photography...
  19. Very nice video.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShedKSlUyDI&feature=youtu.be
  20. When op zooms after af is locked, focus shifts. It's a lens varifocal problem where the focus shifts with zooming.
  21. Nice and welcome. Looks like the pro2 is quiet enough for the library.
  22. Taking from past models, The Fuji GA645 is definitely not as bulky as the Pentax 645. In that sense, the new Fujifilm MF would likely be more compact than the Fuji GA645. Possibly due to stronger, more efficient materials and advanced smd circuitries. So the assumption that mirror less be smaller isn't unreasonable. As evf technology gets better, so will af technology in ovf. Not sure if you've shot with either the D5 or 1DX.....I wouldn't say that their AF performance is inferior. I believe that one of the criteria for a mirrorless design is also weight efficiency and bulk reduction. Marketing edge, if not for anything else. It's going to be a neck to neck race for a long time yet with SONY leading the pack.
  23. I think that most photographic lenses are not parfocal. The 5D3 has a slight advantage with the back AF button and "AF Quick" feature. Overall, the Xpro2 shooting experience is a slight notch "slower" than the 5D3, just a slight notch.... I find that the xf16-55 to be a sharp lens. Perhaps, it is the crop Fujifilm vs. FF 5D3 you are seeing. i.e. sensor difference. .....or you may have a bad copy of the xf16-55, which is rare. Perhaps you may want to post an example?
