  1. Milandro, if you misbehave, I'd have to put you in the time out corner......hahaha....just kidding. I like your sense of humour.
  2. From what I see and know about the X-T2, I think you will like it. I love it too and to be honest, I nearly.....hit the button. Do share when you do get it. I'd be thrilled to see what it can do.
  3. It doesn't bother me as much but yes, it does look like some forgot about the battery door until after. .....and it's a little big.
  4. Some breathtaking shots here.....landscapes are awesome. I especially love the pic with the double catch croc. What a shot! http://travel.nationalgeographic.com/photographer-of-the-year-2016/gallery/winners-all/1
  5. Despite how the dials stick out, I think the X-T2 is a great camera. If it wasn't for the fact that I don't do video much and don't chase F1 cars down the fast track, I would've jumped on the pre-order wagon. It's just a great feeling to have great "power" when I need it. I've tried the battery grip. It's a bit bigger than what I like but a good fit in my hands. The portrait orientation swivel lcd screen is a brilliant touch. The X-T2 will be a highly sought after camera.
  6. Fujifilm stated the same when asked about their xf16-55 F2.8. Generally, any form of IS degrades image quality. It is great when compared without in difficult handheld situations like 1/30s and slower. The absolute acid test would be handheld IS on vs tripod mount IS off in difficult scenarios. You'd see that tripod mount wins most times. At 50mpix, Hassleblad is probably speaking from experience. With some lenses and shooting scenarios however, it's almost impossible without IS. I'm thinking very long zoom lenses but I don't think Hassleblad is going that direction anytime soon. If at all possible, I try to shoot with higher shutter speeds rather than depend on IS.....which brings us to the discussion of having IBIS when it isn't going to be used most times.
  7. Please do us a favor an get that Petzval 58! ...... and post some pics taken with it. It'll be a while before I can get one. Too may other gears to clear off. It's one of the lenses on my list. Beautiful creation.
  8. Haha...I remember this video. Exactly on point.
  9. I don't think they have a choice as X Shooters keep pushing their game on them.
  10. I see the same trend myself. It's one format taking over another and eventually end up with exactly the same problems as the old format. I used to wonder the hefty sizes of dslrs compared to film cameras. The thing I found visually obtrusive, are the larger top dials of the X-T2. Yes, I understand that it may be easier to grip but were the X-T1 dials too low profile? It's really sticking out now.....chunky.... However, to Fujifilm's credit, I think the boost function and 3.5mm stereo headphones jack on the battery grip is an excellent reason for getting the grip.....And given that the X-T2 is marketed as their top flight, fully featured crop mirror less camera aimed at sports and event photographers, it kinda makes sense. Afterall, increased AF performance and 11 fps on one on body battery will probably give you 150 shots. That's about 15 seconds of shooting.
  11. I just realized that I'm never bothered by changing batteries probably because I'm one of those who love to buy extra batteries.......
  12. I had a good time viewing this youtube. It's insane to compare the X-T2 to the D810 but..... I especially liked the reference he made ".......it's like watching a 10 frame per second stop motion movie.....", just too cruel.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNAJOyTuL1U
  13. I was just sizing up my existing camera bag if it would fit the X-T2 + Grip!.........."....largest small camera....", I like that.
  14. Now that the X-T2 is announced and it looks like THE camera X-shooters have been asking for, I wanted to gauge if current x-shooters is going to ditch their existing gear for the X-T2. X-Pro2 owners included. Here are a few very compelling reasons I can think of.... 1. 24.3 mpix 2. X-Trans III 3. Better ergonomics. 4. Better battery life. 5. 325 AF points, 169 phase detect 6. Costomizable AF-C Setting 7. Superfast AF (esp. with battery grip) 8. 11 fps (with battery grip) 9. 100hz refresh rate EVF (with battery grip) 10. 4K Video 11. Tilting Screen 12. Optional battery grip with BOOST function 13. Tethering 14. The list goes on... For me the 11fps and battery grip is very attractive feature to have. I love the thought that there's a "turbo" boost at hand when needed. 4K video is great too although I hardly do video......what do you guys think?
  15. The graphite looks good. Still, it's better to verify with seller before you place your pre-order.
  16. ND filters will reduce light emission enabling you to use wider apertures or slower shutter speeds if that is what you intend it for. In that sense, yes, it may give you better control if shooting conditions are very bright. Circular polarizing filters do reduce light transmission. Typically by 1/3rd or slightly more. But what they really are meant to manage reflections, reduce glare from surfaces like sea or lake. If you are shooting Acros, you'd probably be able to selectively darken (or lighten) selected reflective surfaces. I can imagine the ND for photographing people more and the Cir. Polarizer for landscape. I use the ND more as I tend to photograph people.
  17. Yes, you can but not for the long term if you do a lot of 4k video recording. I think the W126S is heat protected and built for high current draw during 4k video recording. Under normal shooting, normal NP-W126 batteries are fine. Heat causes 2 things in a Li-ion battery, decreased power output and shortened lifespan. Prolonged use may cause the battery to bloat and get stuck in your battery compartment. Some damage from fires have been reported from Li batteries being used in flash guns but I personally haven't seen or experience that. What I've noticed is that Energizer Li batteries get extremely hot in my flash guns. I've changed to Enerloop nimh batteries since without issues. Loved the lightweight of the Lithiums though.
  18. http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/2095-zonlai-25mm-f18/ Definitely very interesting lens. Try Laowa too. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/venus-laowa-15mm-f4-wide-angle-macro-impressions-and-samples
  19. Absolutely. A "common" understanding. Very important. Otherwise the old Chinese idiom comes into play, "Like a chicken talking to a duck".
  20. I can't wait for that extra 50 shots!
  21. People lose sight of the importance of standardization after a while. In our ever changing world, it's important to have a reference point. It's like home. We will always appreciate a place to return to.
  22. This more or less sums up my general experiences with my other cameras. When critical focusing on the Pro1/2, I always use evf with the smallest af box. I can say that in my case, I hit focus 95% of the time. If I did miss, it's usually because of the lens' slow af motors.
  23. Sounds like the XT2 is for you then. XT1 has been reported to fare better on long exposure.
  24. Good to get yours checked. I don't have this issue with mine.
  25. This scenario happens to every other AF system. I was re reading the manual on another camera and it's stated under "where AF fails" trouble shoot section. "Strong back light" or "pointed at a strong direct lighting source", were some of the examples given.
