It could point to the "heating" problem some users are facing too. That could be the reason for noise during long exposure..... I haven't taken anything longer than 1 1/2 minutes on XPor1/2. I usually keep exposure down to shortest possible timing. I've gone 4 mins + on my 5D3, OMD-EM1, A7R and notice color change/degradation. I'm not sure how others have gotten such great results on long exposure more than 2 mins.

Nice! One of my favorite lens from Fujifilm.

Hi Paul, I experienced similar although not as bad when my batteries were new. Mine performed "half lives". After about 5 - 10 recharges, it is now much better. Sometimes, batteries do give problems. It is very rare. I'd suggest you get a return if yours don't improve over time. May be worth to upgrade firmware too.

I've pondered on the two for sometime. Here's my personal summary. For photographers veering more towards landscape, 14mm should be better. For photographers interested in wide angle "macro", the 16mm is better. However, for that kind of photography, there's also the Venus Optics LAOWA 15mm F4 Macro. The 16mm is also better for the some wide angle portrait. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/venus-laowa-15mm-f4-wide-angle-macro-impressions-and-samples At this point, I'm inclined to go 14mm and the 15mm Laowa combi.

Fuji and Red Dot Flare issue
Aswald replied to dereksurfs's topic in Fuji X-Pro 1 / Fuji X-Pro 2 / Fuji X-Pro 3
I wonder if Horsie-blad is aware of this "problem". Doesn't look like much of a flange distance to me. https://www.engadget.com/2016/06/22/hasselblad-x1d/ Pic taken off the same site.- 35 replies

Nice deer! Wow....I don't think I've ever seen one before. What a nice looking animal. 60 deg C would've been like a heat stroke to the X-T10!

Hello and welcome. Sorry to hear about your camera. You did the right thing by sending the camera back. The replacement will probably be fine. Enjoy it when it arrives...again.

Can anyone recommend a USB 3.0 UHS-ii compatible SD card reader ?
Aswald replied to heliosfan's topic in General Discussion
I use these two. No issue so far reading their 2000x sd card II. The 2nd card reader came with the sd card. Small and good. http://www.lexar.com/readers/lexar-professional-usb-30-dual-slot-reader?category=203 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1090748-REG/lexar_lsd64gcrbna2000r_pro_2000x_uhs_2.html -
Ay caramba! -20 deg C is pretty cold for me, thank you. Like you mention, the most annoying for me is lens fogging.....

Ken Rockwell is unimpressed

Or monitors may be calibrated wrongly as well. Doesn't matter what the reasons are. If enough people comment, then it's off. Anything published for viewing will be judged. -
I don't think there's any worries at all for, Pro1, Pro 2, X-T1, X100 series..... http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/2803-x-pro2-does-antartica/

Grey import cameras are fine. I guess, when you inherited the gift you inherited the reason for the restocking fee too. To challenge the restocking fee, I guess you'd have to ask the reason for the restocking fee. You may also discover how this X-T1 came to be a gift for you too. Otherwise, I would negotiate the restocking fee. Postage is fair I guess. Again it depends on the arrangements between the giver and the seller.

Welcome. What Nikon are you selling?
-
I've bought from China, HK and Japan ebay sellers. 98% and above and you're usually good.

XPro1 doesn't have 1/32000 sec. A 3 stop ND is plenty.

Actually, they're trying to carve their own niche. They've found something good and are trying their best to deliver to their clients. They are quite happy where they are now and are focused on developing the next generation X cameras based on their own strengths. When asked, they said that Canon, Nikon and Panasonic aren't even in their league as Fujifilm is too small to be of any significance. When Sony was mentioned, they said that Sony makes very good sensors and being FF, it's a different ball game which they are not looking at going into. The whole sensor size vs. compactness discussion ensued.....again....

Ken likes his pictures a certain way.......saturation +4.....some turns out ok on older gears but his sample pictures on the xPro2 had the boys face almost magenta in color. -

Nice. Coming from an M9, I will say that the Leica "doesn't" really have a menu as it is so simple. So, the XPro menu system would seem "overwhelming", yes.
