Pro1 a bit of buyers remorse...

Sample of your bad picture please. Your description does not sound like the Pro1 I know. -
Hot/Dead Pixel On The Pro2
Aswald replied to Aswald's topic in Fuji X-Pro 1 / Fuji X-Pro 2 / Fuji X-Pro 3
Hey Clapotron, thanks for sharing. I haven't gotten round to doing anything about it as I just noticed it. I will look further into the pixel mapping. -
Is there another forum of similar name?

You're quite safe here. We're all quite civilized. Quarrels? What's that? -
You are absolutely right. Both are outstanding cameras. I use the OMD EM1. My sentiment with it is akin a very good IS or VR. Unless you plan to use lots of manual or 3rd party lenses, I wouldn't say that it trumps over lens stabilization. I think the objective was to make their lenses smaller and to enable non stabilized lenses to be used. Unfortunately IBIS on the Sony didn't dissuade me from deciding on the Fujifilm for the time being.

You will not be disappointed....

From the lens you mentioned, I would go 14, 23 and 55-200 If it was me, I'd go, Samyang 12mm, 23 and 60/90. For zooms, I'd go 10-24, 35, 55-200. Morocco has great photographic opportunity for landscape, environmental portrait, close portrait and great street photography.

PU leather or genuine leather?
Aswald replied to johant's topic in Bags, Half Cases & Straps for Fuji X
I know what you mean. I have the same issue with the L grip. Fuji's original case's leather is too thin and fragile. Thick and soft is much better. -
PU leather or genuine leather?

It looks good. Leather or pleather. -
Haha....don't we all. If it's any consolation at work I'm still picking out mistakes made by my staff. Half of which may be mentally fatigued from late night internet browsing, gaming, movie watching, social media, fb, WhatsApp, pokemon Go and what have you...... So, it's really more of mental fatigue than anything else.

Higher output, High Speed Sync, Wireless multi flash capabilities, dust and weather resistance and judging by their ef-x20 flash, better built quality.

The Nissin i40 is still a great flash for the money. Compact with good, consistent color temperature. By all means, do buy one. It works great with the Fujifilm cameras. If you need to buy one only and never look at flashes again, the new 500 is a good bet. However, it would not sit as nicely as the i40 even though it's a low center of gravity design like the i40. And the price....

After about 3k on the shutter count, my Pro2 has developed a single hot / dead pixel. Clearly visible in the raw file but absent in the jpeg. Probably due to auto pixel mapping. Anyone with the same experience? I hope it's not a contagious disease.

I did about 800+ shots (raw+jpeg) with 1 battery change for a whole day. 2nd battery was at 70% capacity at the end of the day. Preview was off (default setting), toggle between evf and live view half the time. 30% of the time on Samyang 12mm manual focus. Other times, the 23mm or 60mm macro. Camera runs cool. Fortunately, the battery change didn't cause me to lose any moments. Under similar circumstances, I'd probably have to do at least one battery change on my dslr too. So far, I'm pretty happy with the battery performance.

Quite a good read. If anyone is considering either one. http://mirrorlesscomparison.com/preview/fujifilm-x-t2-vs-sony-a7-ii/

I think the best rule to follow is be at whichever site you're comfortable in. Different forums give you different experiences. -

To Battery Grip or not to Battery Grip

Dang....and I was hoping they'd make one for the Pro2. -
At least you found it...

Delay between shots in single shot mode
Aswald replied to scott400's topic in Fuji X-T2 / Fuji X-T20
Which lens are you using? Shutter speed? More importantly what sd card may you be using? You may do better if you used a UHS II Sd Card. The X-T1, T2 and Pro2 utilizes type 2 cards and the write times are significantly faster. As far as I know, the X-T1 does not have this delay issue. -
Hahaha......tell me about it!

X-Pro1 + Flash = Ouch!
Aswald replied to MrSteveVee's topic in Fuji X-Pro 1 / Fuji X-Pro 2 / Fuji X-Pro 3
Hahaha....thanks for sharing. I shall remember that. It's funny but thinking back, I don't think I've used flash while on the ovf. -
Congrats! You'll love it.
