  1. Thanks for clearing that. I guess jpeg iso 200 - 1600 and raw iso 1600 and above then. Since iso 1600 and above aren't really ideal scenario for critical portraiture even though I can understand the frustrations some may have. I'd imagine some may argue that modern cameras reach iso 104,000 and dare I mention 3 million......
  2. Does shooting raw save you from the waxy skin effect?
  3. Thanks for shedding light on the subject. I guess old school thinking was one of the reason why I can't fathom why these were disadvantages. I guess some photographers needs very high sync speeds for fill in flash during daylight photography with flash. Thankfully, I can still work with reflectors and ND filters.
  4. No, seriously, you'd have to wait for the GFX 50T or 50s mk2 to emerge before you'd see a real drop in price. The GFX 50s has no competition at this point so it'll be sitting quite comfortable as the affordable Horsieblah for the next few years....

  6. Still sub $10k.
  7. It's starting to grow on me especially after reading more about it's functionality. The design sort of make sense but I'm also in the design industry so my outlook on industrial design may be biased. It's a bit straight forward for me. I'm just VERY glad it's small. Can anyone help me with two things? 1. Focal Plane shutter (as opposed to Leaf shutter) on Medium format bodies. 2. 1/125th sec Flash sync speed. Why are these two considered a negative attribute of a medium format system. I've only used the Pentax 645 briefly and didn't come away convinced that I needed a medium format camera. Thanks in advance.
  8. It may be slightly taller than the X-T2 but still small enough. I'm really glad they didn't make it any bigger.
  9. Great stuff. At least it's small. I had thought it was bigger. Doesn't look too bad now...
  10. Looks interesting. Rear portion where the LCD is looks a bit bulky...
  11. It looks as if it's going to be a dslr looking medium format. I'm sure that at the end of the day the image produced at hopefully a lower cost will be great. I was just hoping for a little more creativity in their design with both form and function addressed. I guess both the Pro and XT range is also something borrowed from their vintage lines so I shan't expect a design powerhouse within Fujifilm to churn out a body as breathtakingly beautiful as the pictures taken with it. Let's see how it really looks like. But from what I see....
  12. NOOOOOOOOO.......... Exactly what I felt when Canon released their M5. This did this... When they could've had this....
  13. Yep, Fujifilm recommends Sandisk cards. I use both Sandisk and Lexar. So far no issues.....touch wood.
  14. I'm really getting very curious now....
  15. And your pictures shows that! I am very confident that the X-T2 will replace quite a few dslr and entice a host of dslr shooters. I tried the X-T2 at it's launch and already it's trumped the very capable Pro2. I love it.
  16. Awesome and well done.
  17. Sounds like it's a tussle between the 14 and 10-24, ultimately. 10-24's main advantages is the wider angle for landscape which is great. However, at 23, it will never replace the 23mm F1.4. It does sound like you don't need the 23mm F1.4 which is predominantly a street/environmental portrait/general lens. For people who shoot these, the 23 F1.4 is indispensable. For your case, and unless you do LOTs of landscape/interiors, I'd recommend sell the 23 F1.4, stick with the 14 or get a Samyang 12mm.
  18. Adam, I've been following your threads about yr X-T2. Seems you have some unusual issues with it. May be worth while considering a return.
  19. It looks odd. And I highly suspect it will interfere with the eye sensor function.
  20. It's the same with the Pro2 and Pro1. Pro2 exposes darker and the shadows are darker as well. Seems to be biased towards the highlights more than the Pro1 would. On mine, it's more 1/3rd than 1/2. So, maybe it's the "improved" metering for Fujifilm. Not sure.
  21. The video from the X-T2 is very good and fantastic to work with,
  22. I wouldn't dream of changing lenses in that environment.
