This is an excellent counterpoint. Thank you. I was considering the Profoto B1 for my location shoot. I hadn't delved into HSS as I didn't need it before. I have been relying on ND filters which has it's own issues too. Color casts, hue...etc. So, your info is good for me to know.

If there was a firmware tweak which may significantly improve parts of its performance, I'd say it would be good if they did.
-
Judging from the xpro1, the firmware updates which are trickling still, happens when they need the Pro1 to recognize new lenses. Other times, the firmware would address certain anomaly in some lenses, i.e. focus issues, algorithm, etc. In terms of newer or better performance on the Pro1 body itself, there hasn't been one for a long time. So, I guess your T1 is safe in this respect.

Nothing the new Kaby Lake partnered with a 1Tb Samsung 860 Pro can't handle. Heck, Sandisk is even releasing a 1Tb sd card.

Billingham bag - Musty smell.

Even though I wouldn't recommend washing leather but since you may not be able to use it anyway, I'd say wash it, dry it out in the sun and use it for something else. Hopefully something not valuable or sensitive to mold. Adding natural rice vinegar will help to a great extent, especially with the smell and is safe on most fabric and leather. On leather and natural fiber fabric, once infected and colonized, mold is impossible to get rid of. The moment the environment is suitable, it will grow again. -
Why does this camera have a top display?!?!

In this, I honestly believe that there are no more new stories which would turn into a classic in future. The works of Grimm brothers, Hans Christian Anderson and Stan Lee are limited......and therefore needs to be remade. -

The GFX has 2 modes. All external dials and all menu based like a conventional digital slr. In the 2nd mode, the top display is to facilitate quick access to settings. The lens has a C setting which enables you to control the aperture using the assigned dial on the camera body. Clever. -
Thank you. Very clear and detailed explanation. I get the picture now. I guess, this issue exists with other formats too. Perhaps it is more significant as previously most medium format cameras rely on leaf shutters. Would HSS be a possible solution to this issue? Granted HSS itself has issues.

It shows other data and settings at the same time. -
Congratulations. Looked like it was a nice day.

I'm seeing the same thing. Here's a question. Which on has better bokeh, a 16mp aps-c sensor or a 24mp aps-c sensor?
-
24mp is my current favorite now.........hang on, I don't have anything higher! Although I shoot 20 and 24mp nowadays, I'm still amazed by what my 12.8mp can do sometimes. So, I think the 51.4mp is great.....provided the photograph is outstanding.
-
Sweet. Did you like it? Looks ergonomically designed. Even the battery grip has a recess for the vertical trigger button. And that thumb grip is odd but I suspect a nice touch. That battery though.....
-
My hunch is that you'd get exactly the same DR as the X-T2 / Pro2 but on a much higher resolution of 51.4 mpix. While that doesn't sound like much, under studio and good lighting shoot, it gives good results for some commercial use. Also, being a medium format with a larger sensor, I'm thinking bokeh may be somewhat an advantage enhancing the "sharpness" or crispness of the resulting image. That in itself will be a huge advantage to portrait / wedding shooters. When you look at the initial lens line up, Fujifilm seems to be targeting portraiture photographers first. If it is priced well, it will be a hit with these photographers. I'm fairly confident this fella will sell.
-
What are you guys talking about? Of course we need 50mpix. The "cropability" is huge!
-
Hopefully sooner than later. I'd love to see a fellow X shooter with a G mount Fujifilm!

Ah.....sounds good!

Takes skill....to be able to say that.
