  1. That's a good test case, does ERF AF speed up when AE-L is used? I would like the ERF magnified view, histogram fixed too... but I'm not holding my breath! This would mean that Fuji completely re-write their code, as the histogram has always displayed the EVF contents, so it's not a surprise that a portion of the EVF only displays a portion of the histogram. It's annoying though!
  2. Personally, I thought AF was slower in the ovf before the update, and hasn't changed since!
  3. For this week's X-Pro2 update, I've taken my blog post about the new v2.00 FW, re-written big parts of it, and updated it where I can, and added pictures and test results! Feel free to drop on by! http://adambonn.com/my-love-affair-with-the-fujifilm-x-pro1/xp2-thirty-six/
  4. same for me @the OP Worth a system reset?
  5. The street is a great place for um, street photography. I love going there! But, I also like to see what I can see, where ever I can! I love the human scenes I see at the beach!! Together Ready by Adam Bonn, on Flickr
  6. My xf27 also works fine with the X-Pro2
  7. Alleyway by Adam Bonn, on Flickr 'SOOC' Acros with a few tweaks!
  8. because AF-C + AE is a new feature with this update
  9. A man's gotta work with the tools at hand, my kid was at school !! The sunny 16 rule would've given the test a bit of skew.. ergo the slowest lens, with a shallow DOF The be fair I think it's the AF-C AE that's the star here, remember it couldn't do that before
  10. Maybe Camera World? https://www.cameraworld.co.uk/fujifilm-xt2-body.html Not saying 'pre-order' or out of stock like Jessops/wex/amazon/LCE
  11. Yes I know many of you hate cat pics, but eff it... she's a metering nightmare and she moves & IIRC Fuji cited the improved AF algorithm helped with fur and fine texture And just to make it REALLY challenging.... XF60 @ F2.4 :D set to single focus point mode You can see bigger versions if you like :) Shot#1 in focus. Shots 2, 3 ,4 are NOT in focus. 5 - 8 in focus All shots in focus All shots in focus (shallow DOF excepted for closing ups) All shots in focus (shallow DOF excepted for closing ups) - metering gets 'confused' (sic) when black cat fills the frame, and it's a blue cloudless sky out there today! Summary: All in all I'm happy with that... (YMMV) 3 missed shots out of 25, using the 60 and F2.4 and AE worked pretty well to cover the DR of the scene Thanks Fuji
  12. I have shared this elsewhere on our forum... but to keep continuity to my X-Pro2 review: I'm sure I won't be the only internet writer blogging about this today(!!), but here's my 1st look at the Fujifilm XPro2 new Firmware - so what do all these new things mean & do? I think I have some answers! http://adambonn.com/2016/10/06/x-pro2-new-firmware-first-look/
  13. I've had no bother from the update (yet...) It didn't make a system reset or anything I'm sure I won't be the only internet writer blogging about this today(!!), but here's my 1st look at the Fujifilm XPro2 new Firmware - so what do all these new things mean & do? I think I have some answers! http://adambonn.com/2016/10/06/x-pro2-new-firmware-first-look/
  14. I use Sandisk, 16 UHS2 in one slot and 32 UHS1 in the other. No problems so far...
  15. This week's instalment of the X-Pro2 review: It seems that history repeats itself and people are making very similar claims about the X-Pro2, as they did the X-Pro1... Whether or not these opinions are valid, is a matter of opinion! But let's take a little look and see what we think! http://adambonn.com/my-love-affair-with-the-fujifilm-x-pro1/xp2-thirty-five/
  16. Congrats on your interview Bradley. Not entirely sure what you being interviewed has to do with my camera review though? If you'd like to connect with my readers by all means get in touch... quid pro quo tho
  17. Template setting I think

  19. Should be... many have already! Let me go see if something's gone awry
  20. Thanks very much! Ironically I've been explored 5 times now! So not explored for nearly 8 years, then 5 times in 5 months !!!!! I'm not even going to attempt to figure that out
  21. It doesn't really do continuous AF in the normal sense of the word (which tends to mean tracking), it literally just continuously runs the AF motor! But you're 100% correct - the IQ is peachy
  22. OK! Time for the next part of my X-Pro2 review: This week I take a took at (well through) the Electronic Range Finder. I have to say; it's totally amazing, and clever and innovative... and also I have to advise why you might not want to use it all the time... http://adambonn.com/my-love-affair-with-the-fujifilm-x-pro1/xp2-thirty-four/
  23. Time for the continuation of my look at focusing features on the X-Pro2. This week I'm sharing my tips for focus peaking, and we'll take a look if a little trick for reducing shutter lag carriers over from the X-Pro1 or not... http://adambonn.com/my-love-affair-with-the-fujifilm-x-pro1/xp2-thirty-three/ X-Pro2 New Focusing Features
  24. You're more than welcome to comment directly on my website, no need to copy paste tiny fragments of it here!
  25. Hi everyone, I've updated my website to feature the next instalment of my X-Pro2 story! We'll be taking a 3 part look at some of the focusing features on the new X-Pro camera. Continuing my 100% X-Pro2 Review; Part 3: Setting up manual focus on the X-Pro2. Any changes needed from the original? http://adambonn.com/my-love-affair-with-the-fujifilm-x-pro1/xp2-thirty-two/
