  1. Well I think it's the tagging... I stuck 4 shots on flickr yesterday, 2 from each camera. I didn't hide the exif, I just didn't tag them with anything that indicated which camera or lens they were shot with. They've had about the same amount of attention as each other. If fact they've had a pitiful amount of attention, compared to my usual >100 views... This makes me think that Flickr users are more interested in cameras than pictures @Flysurfer, some of my biggest hits and most 'interesting' flickr shots were taken with a Fuji HS20 !!! But the X cameras are slowly overtaking them... Not so long ago I didn't have a X camera shot in my top ten stats, but now I have several. Nice to know that the 4 X cameras and 6 XF lenses that I've owned are nearly as popular as a £200 bridge camera :) :)
  2. @Aswald, It depends very much on what I'm taking pictures off. My XP1 lives on manual focus (and Fuji glass) the XT is for when decent AF is important to me As I doubt that I'm a better or worse photog (it would be hard to be a worse photog, but damn I'm giving it my best shot!!!) with either camera, nor does my subject vary much between the two, I don't understand why one camera gets more Flickr hits than the other... I take the point that the XT is newer, but it's not exactly just out, in fact IMHO, all the global XP1 deals might very well mean people are searching for images to appraise to decide if it's for them or not...
  3. Perhaps I should delete the Exif, and tag XP1 shots as XT1 ones just as a test!
  4. So I own both an XT1 and XP1. My photographic ability (or lack of, whatever) is the same with each camera The way I PP is the same with each camera The things I take snaps of is the same with each camera. I'm the constant. Yet, on Flickr my XT1 shots are tangibly more popular than my XP1 ones (neither are that popular, anything over 100 views and 4 favs is a good run for me, to quantify that, I haven't cultivated a colossal number of followers, nor do I put a lot of pics in a lot of groups, THIS IS NOT ABOUT BEING MORE POPULAR ON FLICKR, I just wonder why my 140ish followers find my XT1 ones more palatable than my XP1 ones) And I can't begin to guess why this might be? Anyone any theories? (It has been suggested to me that 'X-T1' might be the more popular tag)
  5. Yeah I know, it's too dark, any camera could of made it, it's basically a silhouette - I "need" to get it into a workflow, lift the shadows, dampen the highlights, clone out the toy, crop away the curtain - yada yada etcetera etcetera But the thing with the X-Pro1, is it can make a SOOC jpeg that so captures what you saw, there suddenly isn't any reason to try and change life!!! Agree/disagree hate it/love it Eff it. It's life, it's the intimate mood of family life and more and more I find the X-Pro1 is my go to camera for attempting to capture it That OVF connects me to what I'm seeing. Professionals and amateurs alike produce beautiful and wonderful portraits with X series cameras, and it's always worth pushing the envelope, but I personally love the fact that our cameras are just as happy to be picked up, set, and fired. Trying Mummy's Breakfast by Adam, on Flickr Thanks for looking.
  6. + (another) 1 for making the video button a function button Highlight blinking warning A RGB histogram would be nice
  7. I got the Pro1 too accompany my XT1 I haven't really used the XT1 since!
  8. I've been away from home on business for 10 wks, I hope my cat has face recognition installed...!!! Jokes aside, I've had mixed results with face recognition on the current FW, so I look firward to trying the official release when it finally becomes officially released! You brave testers have made it seem well worth the wait!
  9. Iirc, the Leica X, T, X-Vario and Q are all fly by wire Imo that's not terrible news, as the (iirc) the Leica implementation has hard stops on the focus ring. The Q is £2900rrp in the UK 1) that's a lot for a camera. Period. There's not that many (as a percentage of all cameras) cameras that cost more... 2) it's an insane amount for a fixed lens camera. 3) for a FF digital Leica body, with AF and a decent spec EVF, coupled with a 28mm 1.7 summilux, it's actually a lot cheaper than it could be....
  10. I went away on a business trip..... When I returned the house was so clean. Yes folks that's correct.... ....she's employed a cleaner, cheaper than divorce I guess
  11. Totally. For example, I've noticed that when I say to my wife "are you actually going to use that expensive vacuum to gather dust or just leave it in the corner, gathering dust?" This never fails to solicit a very, VERY emotional response
  12. I think if absolute AF performance is the most important to you, then maybe Fuji or indeed CSC in general, isn't the best system for you. That said, imHo the XT1 offers enough over the XE2 in terms of features, build quality and getting FW updates to justify buying it
  13. In my fairly extensive usage of internet fora over the years, I haven't noticed to many interests that bring out people's troll sides more than photography. Not only do so many users like to criticise equipment, and the people that have chosen to purchase it, but many also seem to be unnecessarily critical of each other's work. Devils advocate though..... Fuji do love to do things differently (it's why we love them right?) so I guess they're an esay target for trolls
  14. Hi, I'm Adam! I'm incredibly fortunate in that I get to live my life (and shoot my fujis!!!) in 2 different countries. The UK where I was born and where I work, and Portugal where I spend my down time! I've had many, MANY fujis over the years, my first digi cam was a fuji finepix 2200 2.1mp, bought in 2000! I've tried most of the X series bodies, but currently have a X-T1 and X-Pro1 & 6 Fuji lenses. The XT is my do everything camera, the Pro is my travel/reportage camera! Feel free to look at my shots which can be found on flickr, https://www.flickr.com/photos/adzman/ Regards Adam
  15. No, no, NO! You can't post that, and not divulge what they told you about the sensor!!! So.... Go on?
