Happens to my 2nd X-T3 multiple times in every artificial light shooting session. TWICE WITH A CLIENT!!! I never used Fuji for studio type setups but was forced to do so when I sold my Nikon D810.
This is not an inconvenience but SERIOUS GEAR FAILURE. Cameras should be relied upon to just work.
I use an X2T trigger from godox to trigger all kinds of studio strobes: AD600B, AD200 PRO ETC.
ATTENTION FJUJIFILM: Please fix this problem ASAP!!!!

You could try to lock the joystick by pressing and holding Menu/Ok until a lock symbol appears. You can unlock the same way.

Just responding here because I kind of went the opposite way. Three years ago, I decided to invest in a Samsung flagship-level phone, primarily for the newer camera technology, so I could be reasonably happy with the quality of the camera I would always have with me. It's worked out great in general and saved a lot of trouble and weight when traveling, although as someone alluded to above, I would have been disappointed if I went to a zoo.
But this year I realized that sometimes I just want to Take Pictures, and that could go almost anywhere, so I got me an X-S10 and all sorts of modern accessories so now I can hook it to my microscope, telescope, or micro focusing rail as well as get pro-quality pictures and video with great lenses. And I'm having a great time!

The problem is that Fuji X-acquire on a Mac at least isn’t working at all with my camera. No tethering (I get that this is on purpose so people buy the X-T4), no syncing of the images vai usb, nothing.
And no, on a Mac a simple file explorer isn’t enough to access the files on the camera as it doesn’t mount as an external drive. I either have to get a card reader or use Image capture software.
Why put a camera on the compatibility list if the software doesn’t even recognize and connect to the camera?

Thanks @CatsAreGods. The thing that is confusing to me is even when the "plugged in" icon is showing why is the battery draining to the point where the camera shuts down?  I am fine if the battery can't charge (e.g. move from 2 bars to 4 bars), but I didn't think it ever ran down before. Can you confirm if your battery drains while it's plugged in?
My working hypothesis/ conspiracy theory is that the camera's ability to pull power from the USB port is not sufficient to off-set its full draw. When I was using USB and XWebcam2, perhaps the settings downgrade the performance to work around this issue. However, now that I am using the HDMI capture card, it's demanding more power, thus losing charge. Maybe the S-X10 and the XT30 share a battery/ power supply design, then maybe it makes sense why they're the two recent models that don't have full support for XWebcam2? Which would then answer the ongoing question in this forum of "is Fuji making this decision based on hardware limitations or marketing strategy?" -- Fuji has an antiquated battery/ power management design that it probably didn't realize would hobble webcam usage. Anyway....it's a theory that might be wildly wrong.

Put the cursor just to the right of the image you want to delete and press the delete key and the image will be deleted. It is possible that the decision to maintain backwards compatibility with older computers outweighed the thought of only using the latest USB power supply abilities that would allow the camera to not draw the battery down. Right now, you can use the camera with older computers as long as you get the right kinds of cables, imagine how folks would feel if they were told they had to buy the very latest, new computers with USB-C PD ports in-order to use the camera with the computer.

CatsAreGods got a reaction from sebas1430 in Question about lack of weather sealing
All I can say is what I went through in my own head before buying mine. I've had a number of fairly decent cameras over the years, both analog and digital, and shot in lots of different conditions including rain and snow and sand. I never even heard of a "weather-sealed camera" before a few years ago, but I never had any trouble because I always protected my camera with my outerwear or even plastic bags when necessary.
I've carried a few disposable camera rain covers in my bag for the last 6 years or so, but never had the occasion to take them out of their package. But I'm sure that if I got caught in a downpour, they'd protect my X-S10 just fine. And if you also only encounter adverse weather on relatively rare occasions, that's probably all you'd need too.
Edit: all my Fuji lenses are weather-sealed, so that's another thing to consider.

Thanks to @Joe Roxx, @0301chris, and @flamidey for the guidance on capture cards. And fingers crossed that the X-S10 gets full Xwebcam2 support, but given that we don't know when or if that will happen and what the resulting quality will be...I decided to experiment on the cheap ($26 total) with:
Micro HDMI to HDMI Adapter Cable, Wenter 6.5ft/2M Micro HDMI to HDMI Cable (Male to Male) for Gopro Hero and Other Action Camera/Cam with 4K/3D Supported Video Capture Card, GUERMOK USB 3.0 HD Audio Capture Card, 4K 1080P60 Capture Devices for Gaming Live Streaming Video Recorder, Compatible with Windows Mac OS System YouTube for PS4, Switch, Xbox So far so good. It's the same level of control (everything set up on the camera), but with a much better image (full frame rate). Wishing I had pulled the trigger on this from day one.

for what it's worth, I am very pleased with this capture card: https://www.avermedia.com/us/product-detail/BU110
btw, in a few weeks, supposedly the x-t30 gets webcam functionality, including the ability to use Fuji film simulations. Hopefully, this strategic change by Fuji means they will also rethink s-10 functionality. fingers crossed

Actually, you need to pretty much leave the big battery in the camera as much as possible. If you leave it out, the internal battery will lose its charge after a while and all of your settings will go back to the fresh from the factory setup. Leaving the big battery out for a while is an alternative way to do a full reset in case things go very wrong. The internal small battery is there to keep the settings while you do battery swaps, etc.

Success, the Auto focus bracket setting now works as intended. My mistake was in selecting the Drive mode first and then trying to set the menu settings.
I would like to thank everyone who has offered assistance in this, you have all been most kind. This is the advantage of a good user forum.
