Adrenalinenova reacted to Blacksheep in Anyone planning NOT upgrading to x100F from x100T?
Once upon a time I had the X100. I have the X Pro 2. On the fence about the X100F but its a much improved beast over the original X100 from what I can read. I enjoy the interchangeable lenses so not sure if I would want to pull the trigger on an F.

Adrenalinenova reacted to Nick05 in Anyone planning NOT upgrading to x100F from x100T?
I have the X100T and I have not decided on whether or not I will upgrade. I think the upgrade is worthy, but the X100T is not my main camera. I have an X-Pro2 and X-T2 that I use as my main cameras. I had the X100T for a while now, bought it a few months after it was released. I like the camera and enjoy using it, but the advantages it has over the X-Pro2 is limited to size and how quiet it is. If I upgraded to the X100F, I'd gain a lot of the functionality of the X-Pro2, but I don't know if I would use it enough to justify upgrading. I really enjoy the X-Pro2 and I think it has really replaced my need of the X100 series camera.

The same is for me. I tried 3 different 10-24, all were blurred at the left side. Don't want to try a 4th or 5th one.
So please give us this lens.

Admitted Rico, if you have the information from Fuji that even the E2s sells much slower than the T10 then my opinion obviously was wrong. So immo_p seems to be right and only the photo nerds prefer the viewfinder style.
Edit: Typo corrected

Adrenalinenova reacted to Jürgen Heger in Survey: Fuji X-T2 or Fuji X-Pro2?
Fuji tends to put all the good stuff into the fake DSLRs cameras and when these sell better than the viewfinder models they take this as an argument that most customers prefer the fake DSLR style.
So if we want high performance we have to buy the fake DSLR camera. In Fuji speak because we prefer the DSLR style.

Same. The X-Pro2 has been awesome and I've got my preorder in for the XT-2.

I'd like to have an X-E3 so I voted for "Another Fuji X"

I too just bought the X-Pro2. The faux pentaprism design is not for me. The better aesthetics and user experience of the rangefinder style wins. Also, I have no interest whatever in video production. The X-T2 is a great camera, just not for me. A tilt screen would be nice, but not at the cost of having to endure a faux pentaprism design. I'm very pleased that Fuji continue their policy of updating released models with the latest firmware. One of the several reasons I dropped Sony for the X.

IMHO the best Fuji would be an upgrade to the X-E series, an X-E3!

I also want an X-E3 or an XT-2 with the XP-2 form factor less the OVF

E3, but may be a Pro2 or T2 in the mean time. You never know. Will also depend on what the firmware update for the Pro2 will bring.

The needs of the working pro differ from the needs of the enthusiast.
Since my photography is almost 100% professional as I have other hobbies I spend my time at .... I can comment that I use the 10-24/F4 a lot when shooting a wedding ceremony to fly between the ultra wide angle for the entire scene and then back to fully zoomed in for the candid shots as I walk around perimeter of the ceremony. I also use that lens a lot for the first dances at the reception to get the awesome ultra wide angle of the decorations and guests as they have their first dance, then I zoom in all the way to get a waste-up shot of them with a little of the background.
When I shot Nikon I had the same lens but it was F2.8. I noticed the extra stop loss of F4 when I got the Fuji during the darker dance times. To try to keep the background similar, I had to now go higher ISO or slower shutter speed (would prefer the slower shutter speed) ... it depends on the scenario. But for the most part, it made no difference for the ceremony's having to go F4. But that zoom range is very handy to have when doing closer, more intimate photojournalism style of work.

I 99.9% sure this lens won't have OS.

OIS is of little interest to me on lenses <100mm, if i'm shooting a landscape at F/16 and 1/15 sec, I'd be using a tripod and a shutter release cable.
I'd like the availability of long prime lenses 200/300/400mm with OIS and support for tele-converters.
If the 35 F/1.4 had exactly the same optical performance and all that was changed was the focusing motor (you can add WR if you want) then fair enough, I'd probably still not replace version 1 of this lens (unless it died) as it is the best lens i've ever used
I'd much rather see a new flagship lens in a 33 or 35 F/1 (even if i could never afford/justify buying it)
TBH I'd like a 2 tier lens line up to continue, smaller, cheaper, slightly slower, WR lenses
Fuji have a 16, 23, 35, 56, 90 Fast lenses (F/1.2 - 2) I've included the 90 here because F/2 at 90mm is a very shallow DOF
Then if Fuji expand the New MKII lens range to include a wider lens and a longer lens it will be a nice set of options for most photographers.

Adrenalinenova reacted to Naddan28 in GFX & f2 lenses spell the end for high end, x lenses
The Fuji x series was built on good ergonomics, IQ and colour/jpeg rendition supported by great glass. Given the standard length f2 lenses didn't come along for years I can't see how they "made" the system. If you're going to pin that on a single product, it's probably the XT1.
Whilst I agree the 33mm f1 is probably too much, a series of fast focusing sub f2, WR primes is hardly niche, even more so a 50mm standard equivalent one. I can't actually think of a single serious lens mount that doesn't have a premium sub f2 50mm equivalent. The 35mm f1.4 produces a great image but try shooting a child indoors...I'd rather manual focus. It makes no sense to have inferior focusing, weather seal lacking, fast glass at a price premium to the f2 range.
If Sony had (or does) designed an FE mount camera that had the ergonomic and build qualities of a Fuji X, I suspect you'd see a lot of reluctant Fuji users jumping ship. Something nobody really wants.

Agreed. I sold my f1.4 and f1.2 lenses when the new f2 ones came out. The result is I take my camera with me to more places and use it more often.

So Fuji needs to make a 140-300 f2.8 similar to Sigma
