  1. It's not either/or but as well as I have both and both have their individual merits. 56 f1.2 has the faster aperture but is also bigger and the AF is pretty slow compared to the 50 f2 (used on anX-Pro 2). The 50 f2 is very good optically, is much smaller and lighter, has WR and the faster AF. It is also better for using with the OVF due to its size. And don't forget the angle of view is also a bit different (the 50 is a bit more all purpose, the 56 a bit more Tele for portrait). It all boils down to this for me: The 50 is the better every day lens. The 56 is the better special purpose lens for portraits. Having both I do use the 50 more often than the 56.
  2. According to Fuji this is a feature not a bug. If the lens focuses too far in the distance when powered on accidentally and with a mounted lens cap, the camera shows an error message which scared some users in the past - because ofthe external focus machinism the lens hits the cap. X100/S/T is behaving that way. That's why Fuji has changed it. Does it answer your question of Why?
  3. For me the ultimate travel kit is a X100/s/t. I've sold my X100T to partly finance my X-Pro 2 but I dearly miss it already. I'm going to preorder the X100F directly after announcement... That said I'm currently using the X-Pro 2 with 23 f1.4 and 56f1.2 for travel.
  4. Oh, I've already read this article that's why I didn't consider it to be "new" - at least not for me So looking forward to the next article in the series! THX!
  5. What dou you mean by part 1? I haven't found a new article... Can you post the direct link please? THX!
  6. I would also like to say thank you! I've just boug an X-Pro2 and I'm really looking forward to the "probably longest X-Pro2 review on the web" Although I never had an X-Pro1 I've enjoyed reading your ongoing "review". So let it roll out!
  7. IMHO the best Fuji would be an upgrade to the X-E series, an X-E3!
  8. That would be really great news but I'm really not sure about it... AF improvement is what the X-E2 really needs, otherwise it is a great camera. I'm not sure if the new 24MP sensor is going to be a really significant upgrade in daily use...
