X-T5 Cleaning Mistake

All,

I was recently cleaning my X-T5 and grabbing a little piece of dust with an adhesive swab. Absentmindedly I forgot to lock the sensor before cleaning, and the swab pulled my sensor up while I was removing the dust. The pictures still look fine, should I be worried about anything? Just looking for an extra opinion. Thank you.

Probably no worries, but don't use those adhesive things on a stick. In my opinion they are a flawed idea.

Lock the sensor? How do you do that?

Switch the shutter to ES to prevent any possibility of the mechanical shutter going off while cleaning.

Turn on the camera and leave it on

Set IS mode to off.

Clean.

I do read the fine manual. A text search on locking sensor turned nothing up.

About this one item -- why is it better to do this with the camera on? Just curious.

Because the sensor assembly is moved electrmagnetically. When there is no power it is essentially free moving.
