Well, then you basically got what you asked for.

Is this really NR-2 / SH+1?

Don't use AUTO. It's very limited. Did you try to switch the camera to MF?

how do i get RAW images onto my computer?
flysurfer replied to graham418's topic in RAW Conversion Fuji X Photos
Best way is to simply use a card reader. Most laptops have a built-in one. There are plenty of affordable and fast external card readers with a USB connector. A USB cable connection may be possible, but I don't recommend it, because image files in the camera won't display on your desktop, only for import in a designated photo application, which (in your case) has to support RAW files. -

That would be wrong, anyway. -

Thanks Andreas, this should make things easier for many users, especially since the forum search tends to ignore the "-" in camera model names, so "X-T1" etc. is treated as a 3 letter word by the forum search. Google search does the job. As for acronyms: Milandro or someone else could compile a list of commonly used acronyms with explanations, which could be posted as a sticky thread or blog entry. I remember that we did this in the early days of my frequent flyer forum: http://www.vielfliegertreff.de/fragen-ankuendigungen-ideen/786-abkuerzungen-fachbegriffe-usw.html#post14392 -
Limiting the use of acronyms to a minimum

Depends. After all, we all (should) know what an OVF, EVF or LCD is. Or ISO. Searching for this terms with Google yields useful results. The forum search can't really handle it, though. This is also important when we are searching for cameras like the X10, X20, X30, XF1, XQ1, XQ2. Even searches for X-T1, X-E1, X-E2, X-A1, X-A1, X-M1 etc. often don't work with normal forum searches, but a Google forum search will do the job. So adding the Google option would be reasonable. It works well in the German forum version. -

Using Google forum search instead of the normal forum search is always a good idea. I wonder why this forum doesn't feature Google search as an option in the search menu. The German forum has Google search as its default setting. -
It's okay for me, about the same detail as Iridient Developer when comparing at 200%. C1 is pretty good, too, but not as versatile as LR for me. Sadly, VSCO, RNI etc. aren't available for C1.

Fuji X-T1 annoying sound while in shooting mode

The lens wouldn't work w/o the magnetic field in shooting mode. -

Fuji is using the sensor resolution as its benchmark, which is the only objective measure, anyway: pixel-sharp DOF on the sensor level. In other words: Fuji's electronic DOF zone is the zone where the image is as sharp as the sensor's pixel-pitch can resolve light. Makes sense to me, so I like it. Everything in this DOF zone will look equally sharp when viewed at pixel-level (100%) resolution. Of course, the DOF markers on those "clutch lenses" are different and mostly just for show, they are about 2 stops off (as in less conservative). -
I am currently re-releasing old X100 Classic shots that I am reprocessing with the current Lightroom version. "New" images are always popular, even when they are 4 years old, simply because they are pushed to the followers.

Fuji won't change their JPEG engine, they never do, and much of this processing is hardware based, as it has to be really fast. So this is something that might be different with EXR III, but wo knows? I don't. Hope dies last.

Fuji X-T1 annoying sound while in shooting mode
flysurfer replied to omerz's topic in Fuji X-T1 / Fuji X-T10
If there's a new noise that's very clearly audible, the OIS may be faulty. Best to compare the lens with another one of the same model to find out. -
Waxing hasn't anything to do with the sensor. It's about EXR I vs. EXR II. It's probably hard-wired in the processing engine, just like JPEG compression (can't changed by firmware, wither). Let's see what EXR III has in store.

Fuji and their (probably mostly Asian and middle-eastern) target audience consider the waxing an improvement and major feature.

Use a zoom lens w/o OIS, like the XF16-55mmF2.8. -
