I've tried out both and I prefer the 90mm, I don't have any samples to share though.

Well that isn't a problem for Fujifilm. In-camera RAW conversion for the win.
-
Ahh was hoping for larger image, doesn't look all that different and the highlights look pretty much the same as current Fuji cameras.

I have it It's great except it covers the SD card slot so you gotta take off the case to access it.

Tilt screen is very, very convenient.

I'm finding it quite hard to decide between the 10-24mm and 16mm. Pretty much decided on the 10-24mm. Just some last second guessings before I get it.

What is your X-E3 wish list?
val replied to bhu's topic in Fuji X-E4 / Fuji X-E3 / Fuji X-E1 / Fuji X-E2 / Fuji X-E2s
Pretty much a smaller X-Pro2 minus the OVF. -

16-55mm is a great lens. I wouldn't be surprised if people came up to you and asked what you were shooting with

Fuji 16mm F/1.4 - Can I get some user feedback?
val replied to TopDownDriver's topic in Fuji X Lenses
That's the trade off. I prefer the 24mm FOV but the bokeh from the 23mm F1.4. Ahh well -
Fuji 16mm F/1.4 - Can I get some user feedback?
val replied to TopDownDriver's topic in Fuji X Lenses
More than I'd like. I am nitpicking though. So? I'm not talking about adapting, I'm talking about coming from a FF system and having a more affordable 24mm F1.4 than a 24mm F1.4 equivalent on APS-C. -
Fuji 16mm F/1.4 - Can I get some user feedback?
val replied to TopDownDriver's topic in Fuji X Lenses
The 16mm is wonderfully sharp and a pleasure to use, but the bokeh can be quite defined. Lights usually appear as solid balls. The further your subject, the busier the bokeh becomes. I quite like it but for $1250 AUD, it's a bit hard to swallow when the Sigma 24mm F1.4 ART can be bought for around $900 AUD. -
Improved X-Trans 24mp would be enough for me.

I shoot at f1.4 so nope.

If I could only have 3 primes............ 12mm 23mm 90mm

I finally used the GX8. It's a great product except for Panasonic's images. Good for video, not so great for stills. If Fuji took the GX8 and put the X-Pro2 sensor in there + Fuji colours, I don't doubt there would be a market for it.

So after two years with Micro Four Thirds and over a year of trying out Fujifilm, I've finally FINALLY gone all in with Fujifilm. Expect shots from me on here. I'll be going to Fiji next week so I'm excited for that. Now lets back track, I started photographing in 2005. Always used Canon, went to Panasonic two years ago because I wanted smaller and I was doing video. I was never happy with the results though so I sold it all and finally got myself an X-T1. I've been using a Nikon D610 for awhile but its not mine, I was genuinely considering the Nikon D750 but after much deliberation, I knew deep down that I would use the Fujifilm more often than I would use the Nikon. Thus my decision has been set it stone and I'm a jolly bugger. I predominately do landscape. My first choice lens would actually be the 10-24mm. But I have an engagement shoot AND I want to do more portraits so the 35mm F1.4 it is. I also wanted a light everyday carry that I could shoot all day and all night with.

I just want it now!!! ugh.

I was shooting with a Nikon/Fuji at a event and the one thing that really struck me was shot to shot speed. With Nikon and the Fujifilm X100T OVF, you can pump out single shots but with the X-T1/EVF only cameras, there is a slight lag because it shows the photo and then you press the trigger again to clear it. I've disabled image preview and all that and yet it still appears.

I really like the 16-55mm F2.8 but its not for me. Try before you buy!

Too bad that Ken's opinion is worth less than the dirt on my shoes
