  1. No I don't think this is possible - it would be useful if there was a common published format (perhaps xml) so the settings were easily accessible, readable and transferable - but currently they are none of these things
  2. No need - you can keep all your existing settings
  3. Have you made sure that Focus Check is not assigned to any other function button? i.e. make sure Focus Check is not set to AE-L (or any other button)
  4. Does it not automatically switch to aperture on the front dial with a lens without aperture ring? https://fujifilm-dsc.com/en/manual/x-t5/about_this_camera/parts/#dial_drive
  5. Its unlikely to be broken. Put the camera up to your eye and look through the viewfinder - then push the switch briefly to the right - don't push it for too long. (And you can't be using one of the Advanced Filters or shoot movies)
  6. What changes do you have in mind?
  7. X-T10 was before my time - I started with Fujifilm with the X-T2
  8. Are you sure Shooting Only IS isn't working with AF-S? The difference between AF-C and AF-S is that you get IS with half press in AF-C but in AF-S it doesn't take effect until you fully press the shutter. Try taking images with a very low shutter speed and look at them in playback (or on a computer)
  9. Give it time. The firmware is new and Adobe haven't got around to including Reala Ace in the list of film simulations allowed with the X-H2S. They only allow film simulations supported by the camera and create their own versions of those film simulations. You can be assured that the X-H2S has the code embedded in the RAF file (and also a preview jpg with the film simulation applied). You can prove to yourself that the RAF file includes the Reala Ace simulation by opening the file in Fujifilm X Raw Studio.
  10. Check the Movie menu - it sounds like you have F-log turned on - if you do that you will need to post process the video clips to bring back the colours you are looking for. If you turn off F-log you can shoot your movies with Film Simulations and have immediately useful video.
  11. It happens when you try and apply a custom profile - but it can't be applied because of the settings used when the photo was taken. For example you might have DR400 in the custom profile but you shot the photo at DR100 - there is a mismatch so the profile settings have to be adjusted.
  12. Bob - I think the OP's problem is that you can't save those settings to a SD card in the camera. Its a problem that others have noted - although Fujifilm are moving in the right direction by recently adding the capability to the mobile phone app.
  13. Can you share an example which hasn't been through Photoshop? (It removes all the metadata) This looks disturbingly similar to another recent forum post:
  14. Jerryy - I think that issue is different. I've taken a lot of time looking into the subject detection problems related to that bug and its always the case that the camera focuses on something different - it doesn't create a completely blurred image like the most recent image from the OP
  15. That is baffling - I'm assuming you get the same problem with different lenses? Focus Priority release wouldn't help but you already said you tried with Focus Priority focus. You seem to have animal subject detection turned on - but again that shouldn't make any difference - the camera is reporting that its trying to focus on the blurred figure just right of centre. What do you see on the screen or through the viewfinder - did the image look sharp in the image you put on Dropbox? All I can suggest is to completely reset all settings and try again with the 16-80 lens (you can back the settings up using the XApp or the Fujifilm X Acquire software if you don't want to lose them) - check if the subject appears sharp in the viewfinder. Turn off the touch screen (just in case - but I doubt it will make any difference because the camera was trying to focus on the figure in your posted sample).
  16. You have had some good suggestions but we would probably have a better idea from looking at the original files. Sharing the images directly to the forum in the way you have done removes a lot of the settings. You have to use something like DropBox or WeTransfer (both of which have minimal free accounts).
  17. Can you share the original files - straight out of camera so that we can see the settings?
  18. Something to do with custom settings perhaps - but I can't figure out the exact configuration that would cause this - do you use custom settings and do you have different focus assist options with different custom settings?
  19. Here is an example of the problem I've seen - the camera is in animal subject detection mode and reported it had found the dog's eye but focused instead on the nose:
  20. I've tried - don't remember the exact message but it refused to update (also doesn't prove its true for all cameras but its a reasonable assumption)
  21. I've done the same thing in the past
  22. If you are using a Mac have you tried Photos? You would have to use uncompressed raw for Apple support. I wouldn't say its the best raw processor for Fuji - but it comes for free with the Mac and it works as a DAM.
  23. Are you sure the images you have attached are from the X-T5 manual? Can you attach a link to the section in the online manual?
  24. I pointed this out a few months ago. Not sure its greed though - I have no problem with ads as a way of covering costs - but the way its done here just annoys people.
  25. For the first two images the light was harsh and you were using multisegment metering so the large expanse of bright sky is going to affect the exposure. And the main subject has face in shadow. Its a tough image to expose correctly. You might try one of the DR settings to help compensate when shooting jpgs. Do you have a longer lens? Those photos might be more interesting if you could zoom in on the main subject (and it would eliminate the problems with the sky). It also looks as though you are using a fixed shutter speed of 1/250 which wasn't fast enough to freeze the arm in the second image. You are using AF-S with a large single point focus - are you making sure that your main subject is in focus ? (I would probably try AF-C with Wide/Area tracking and make sure the cameras has highlighted your subject)
