Instax Square SQ and Instax Square SQ10 Rumors
milandro replied to Patrick FR's topic in Fuji X Rumors & News
Exactly my feelings. I can’t see myself buying an instant camera and I’ve actually never seen anyone using any of these modern instant cameras ever in my circles. I know they exist, I know they are popular in Asia and/or among young people. But I’ve never felt the need to have an “ instant” picture on a small piece of paper. -
we all have our preferred methods and happy shooting

Cheers, I don’t know whether you refer to the NIK https://www.google.com/nikcollection/ or http://www.fujifilm....pix_studio/rfc/ both are outstanding. I have to say that my personal favorite is ( but I have the X-T1 so this might not work for the new cameras) to do raw conversion with Aperture and then work with NIK for sharpening, B&W or effects.

I wasn’t implying that you had copied this form me or anyone else. We all have inspirations and common solutions to a common problem ( see the thing above of the wrist strap from the Super 8 camera) , lots of people must of thought of that! I too have bought some non original caps but I’ve never glued them because I tend to prefer to not stack up lenses.

Food for thought, on camera sensors and prints

Patrick FR, by the way, today wrote... It’s inevitable: the Fujifilm GFX is on the market since 2 or 3 weeks, and the web is in a GFX-frenzy…. FujiRumors included. Believe me, all this will slow down soon, because something else is always just around the corner. So, there is, apparently, much more to come! -

Yes, a very good afternoon to you too. Without any doubt there is always a need to innovate in any field but innovation has to serve a purpose. The original sparkle to open this thread made me look around the internet and I found this most interesting page. http://www.johncairns.net/Papers/consumerism.pdf there are many quotes at the beginning of the paper but this struck me as very significant, to me ( other will no doubt disagree). Only he who knows what is enough will always have enough. Tao Te Ching, Lao Tsu -

That’s very nice Mike! Maybe you remember that I’ve show here ( my other thread “ Seen interesting accessories...”) a similar solution some time ago that was for sale somewhere and they were doing it by means of 3D printing. Which adhesive did you use? Were these original caps of di you buy some other ones?

both are perfect lenses for your portraits, so chose either one

yes, I suppose that you have all heard about this “ Ultimate X” camera? It is rumored that it will be the most expensive X camera ever , although it isn’t clear to me how this wouldn’t put this new camera in direct competition with theGiant Fuji X camera that has gathered so many buyers already ... -
this is a quite interesting accessory, which is actually, at least originally, not originally meant for photography ( I spoke of something similar a few posts before) but can be used quite well for quick photography when you need to quickly point your camera and hopefully shoot pictures and no bullets Especially when used to quickly point a very long lens ( where people sometimes have to “ find” the subject) this will be very good.

I don’t own a X-T20 but , if upgrading those programs costs more than what you are prepared to pay, you may use Silkypix another free program also provided from Fuji http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/software/myfinepix_studio/rfc/ Then , after you’ve done that download also Free the NIK Google suite to work on the jpegs

Are you familiar with the ignore function of the forum? Please use it. When you do that, you will no longer see my posts ( only the threads that I may start). I hope this settles it.

I have an old joke for you. Two friends meet and one says that he has just bought a Ferrari, “ wow” says the other, :” what are you gonna do with it?” , “ I don’t know “ the one with the car says " I only ever go to work in the city everyday and the speed limit all the way to work is 50Km/h but maybe after work I can go to Brighton and see how the car performs" After a month the two friends meet again and the one without a supercar asks the other: “ How is it going with your new super car?” , “ Well” the friend answered with a bit of a disappointed look on his face “ I’ve sold it... I didn’t know what to do in Brighton and I was going there every day” . -

unfortunately that won’t, most probably happen, but FR has just told us that some of us may want to start saving for the next NEW & Improved camera which FR called the ultimate X camera ( until they come up with another ultimate model) -
but then how to explain if people notice an improvement at shutter speeds around 1/250 compared to images shot at longer shutter speeds? If the aperture stays the same and results are improved by the shutter speed the conclusion has to be that that is a factor in “ sharpness"

I am sure that soon we are going to see some expensive medium format pictures which could have been taken with any camera. -
I have to say that producing pictures beyond motion blur has proven difficult at times. Film was very much more forgiving (or I was younger) I don’t own the 56mm though but I have used the 60mm and similar focal lengths with manual focussing , let alone the Petzval 85mm ( where you really better shoot on a monopod under all circumstances)

I am sure that Fuji should have paid for the damage.

the majority of people who keep buying new equipment have never even got close to the limits of what they have been upgrading. -

my game is participating to a discussion on a forum, a place of discussion. All I did was to publish a video and offer it to others to ponder about. I didn’t even dare suggesting anything other than put it to the forum’s attention. What’s wrong with that? How is it derailing? Like this second video. The maker maybe a fool doesn’t look like but it might be. Maybe not. Does anybody know? For sure? Are we to take anything and everything for granted or can we actually have doubts about anything? I am a person who tries not to have dogmas and likes to see the many sides of anything before making up my mind.
