I have one of these X

ok, so it will just be the net best camera until the next best will follow...

So, Patrick has told us of the Fuji “ Ultimate” X series. http://www.fujirumors.com/trusted-sources-says-ultimate-x-series-aps-c-camera-will-cost-around-2000-3000-poll/ Apparently this camera will put to shame any other Fuji X made before. But that has been ( at least in the intentions) what it has always happened ever since human memory can remember, the later models of anything industrially produced and commercially available GENERALLY ( there are ample examples of the occasional failure of this paradigm) improve of the earlier production. But ultimate, and I quote the Oxford dictionary, means : ultimate |ˈəltəmit| adjectivebeing or happening at the end of a process; final: their ultimate aim was to force his resignation.• being the best or most extreme example of its kind: the ultimate accolade.• basic or fundamental: the ultimate constituents of anything that exists are atoms.• Physics denoting the maximum possible strength or resistance beyond which an object breaks.noun1 (the ultimate) the best achievable or imaginable of its kind: the ultimate indecorative luxury.2 a final or fundamental fact or principle. So if this is the ultimate X camera does it mean that there will be no more X after this? Really? The thing, in itself seems unlikely. But what is the point to define something “ ultimate” if later on there will be a “ more perfect” camera? Anyway, again, we shall see. Maybe this will be the camera to tempt me. Who knows!? I won’t buy for the video though. I don’t do any filming. A post scriptum... It reminds me an old sketch by the Italian comedian Ettore Petrolini, who depicted a satire of Nero, the Roma Emperor, who wanted to destroy Rome to build one “ More beautiful and superb than ever before” Nero starts saying that and the “ audience” cheers “ bravo” and he answers “ Thanks!”.

tried and I’ve never missed it, still use Aperture and sharpen with NIK. -
FujiFilm Official RAW FILE CONVERTER by SILKYPIX

Aperture, despite not having had any updates for some time, does a great job too. Try combining with sharpening with NIK suite. -
Thanks for your contribution Aswald. much appreciated and I would encourage others to do the same. This Nubrella seems to have been taken directly from one of those modern prams. I think that it is not only ridiculous but dangerous. A stronger sudden wind gust might easily knock you down if not make you airborne wile strapped to this thing. Suppose that happens while you are strolling on a mountain ridge or a castle wall. If this would have been presented to Dragon’s den they would have made mincemeat of the inventor’s concept. But there it is, an accident waiting to happen. I hope they have good insurance. But I will say that I do see this invention “ taking off” , I am sorry but I’m out

The X-E3 Poll
milandro replied to Jano's topic in Fuji X-E4 / Fuji X-E3 / Fuji X-E1 / Fuji X-E2 / Fuji X-E2s
you already have one , just crop it ! If you mean a larger square sensor, it would require a completely new range of lenses . -
I don’t even understand if this is an attempt at crowdfunding, not an easy task to ask people to separate themselves from hard earned money all based on blind faith ( since there is no picture of what you will actually be funding) certainly not with a product that has such an unclear, vague at best, description. What is it? A new camera with film, digital and instant back? Or a new way to use an up-cycled old camera ( the physics of which, explained by Mr. Takashi Ueno above make it bound to fail because the results would be at best disappointing).

There are expensive Fuji> Microscope adapters https://www.microscopeworld.com/c-130-fuji-camera-microscope-adapter.aspx But you can get this cheaper with a little creativity I guess that the easiest fix is to buy a T2>microscope adapter and then a T2 >Fujifilm FX https://www.amazon.it/Fujifilm-Adattatore-obiettivo-Concept-X-T10EX1-X-M1/dp/B00OONK2X4

The X-E3 Poll
milandro replied to Jano's topic in Fuji X-E4 / Fuji X-E3 / Fuji X-E1 / Fuji X-E2 / Fuji X-E2s
Yes, but I still fail to see the logic of it, it is like putting a bigger and bigger engine in every new model of a car although the speed limits and the tire size stays the same. But I guess, it is indeed a byproduct of the bigger, better, improved and more expensive paradigm. -
The X-E3 Poll
milandro replied to Jano's topic in Fuji X-E4 / Fuji X-E3 / Fuji X-E1 / Fuji X-E2 / Fuji X-E2s
The X pro 3 won’t be a medium format camera. Fuji is very unlikely to throw away the entire work done on building a entire and complex lens system AROUND the Aps-C format. Those lenses aren’t usable for a larger format. Having made the choice to have a medium format line, they will keep both lines. Sony has announced the possibility to provide 100 or even 200 Mp. medium formats It is therefore possible that the pixel density of the Aps-c too will grow, although to me the principal question will always remain, why? I’s rather have a better sensor rather than a “ larger” one. -
I know... , my post was a reference to that!

You don’t post any example but if you aren’t happy with the 18-55 then you have been given a bad copy...

Petzval 85mm F2.2 in Fujifilm mount anyone?
milandro replied to milandro's topic in Adapting lenses to Fuji X
Well, I caved in to my greed and want to know what happens and I have bought one. Now starts the long wait for these things. When it will arrive I will test it on the lens and see whether it is indeed a viable possibility. At least for a few stops It shouldn’t give any vignetting but at some point it will. Because I can’t use the focal reducer anymore this will imply that the image field will be similar to a 135mm on a full format camera. We shall see. To be continued... -
Chhers! A mutliback hybrid camera... to be developed. Interesting concept, though the pitfalls are many. For starters the fact that lenses conceived for film don’t perform ( at the very least wideagles don’t) very well on digital cameras ( the concept is explained here, I’ve quoted this a few times before) http://fujifilm-blog...ull-frame-dslr/ “...Firstly, the angle of light that film and imaging sensors can receive differ from each other. Film can receive light at the slanted angle of up to 45 degrees without any problem, but in case of the digital camera, the light needs to be as perpendicular to the sensor as possible. Slanted angle light causes mixed colors and therefore the real colors sometimes cannot be reproduced. In order to receive the light perpendicular to the sensor, it is important to make the rear glass element on each lens as big as possible to put the light beams parallel from the outlet of the light to the sensor. Finally, the back-focus distance should be shortened as much as possible to eliminate the degradation in image quality..." So one would need to design original lenses or use lenses specifically meant for digital purposes ( such as the ones made from Samyang). What exactly this intends to be is yet to be known. The site says nothing more than they are going to do this and they forecast this being ready in two years to be marketed. In my mind the easiest approach would be to use the body of a camera that already exists and UP-cycle it with a digital “ back” ( as in the examples given above, through the years many have based their inventions on this concept but no one of these concept cameras have ever reached fruition).

well the same is true of some Asahi Pentax M42. Anyway both the two Fuji screw mount lens I had had 0 problems to be adapted on a series of adapters.

It is a corollary the second law of thermodynamics or Anderson’s law. Any system or problem, however complex, will get even more complicated in time, if look at it from a certain angle

Battery indicator inaccurate when using Booster Grip

it does for me! tried several times and it always works http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/4188-battery-life-problem/ @Vasilis member Vasilis wrote: -

This is the exact same problem and work around. http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/4188-battery-life-problem/ -
It is precisely what is discussed in the video and link that I gave above. http://money.cnn.com...le-east-africa/ It is not clear whether you can bring any electrical device without batteries because the article makes special mention of items containing batteries. Also it is absolutely pointless because all and any only applies to direct flights , if you have a stop over or simply change plane somewhere you may never be affected.

I find very easy to post pictures here. I’ve posted many and find it much easier than many other places. I simply resize them to 1250 px. wide Note there is no limit to the amount of pictures in as many posts as you want. If you find it difficult just simply reference it to an outside place ( Flickr or something like that) and people will see them in all their weight and splendor.
