  1. Mike, Here is some more of that white stuff for you, you seem to have not enough over there. This is actually from Italy (last week) but that is eastwards from you too, isn't it.
  2. You stole that from your grandmother's cupboard, didn't you :-). Beautiful
  3. It seems everyone is busy before Christmas and you have been left waiting for an answer, so I will try to help. I have had good experience with the 90mm f2 at concerts, at ISO 3200-6400 I was able to use shutter speed 250-500 to freeze the movements of the performers and the focal length was good for me as I was taking pictures from my place - not walking close to the stage and getting in the way of professional photographers which I am not. Camerawise I have the X-T10 and I use zone focusing or manual focus which is very easy on Fuji, so I can do without the faster focusing speeds that are present on the X-T2, X-T20 or x-E3. So if your budget is tight, you can get an X-T10, they are very cheap now. Image quality is practically the same on all of these cameras (i.e. excellent). The newer ones have a 24Mpix sensor as opposed to the 16 MPix sensor on the older ones, but this is mostly irrelevant unless you want to print your pictures in really big sizes. What is best for you depends on many factors, there are tons of information on this blog and elsewhere. Lots of reviews on lenses and cameras. Have a good read and then ask some more questions. If you look at the concert ph. thread, you can see for instance milaber22 using the 8mm fisheye for a totally different approach. Depends. Welcome to the forum and let us know how you are getting on.
  4. Merlin, this must have been the Hike of the Year. You get to see amazing places ! Cheers.
  5. Amazon River Tribes Just kidding - some members of a rowing club on the Danube river.
  6. 18-55mm, Classic Chrome, Colour+1, Sharpness+1, WB Auto. The confluence of Danube and Morava.
  7. Curiosity. Curiosity -1. This is an old low quality scan from film (but it WAS Fujifilm film so I hope Patrick won't ban me for life ). I regret that I moved the frame but I was already getting up to check if he is OK. It was a safe place and they were both good swimmers but you know. Funny thing was the younger son didn't show any reaction whatsoever as his brother fell in. Totally indifferent.
  8. Remembering summer - Pag, Croatia. 90mm. I love this bench. When we're on our hols, I get up most days at half past five and cycle from Mandre to this bench in Tovrnele and back, that is 40km there and 40km back with about 800m altitude gain. Beautiful road. Some days I do different trips and once every holiday I ride over the Baske Ostarije pass on the Velebit mountains.
  9. I clicked the link... and saw some very nice pictures !
  10. Wow, that was fast ! Congratulations on your new camera and welcome. Share some pics !
  11. Filip, there is a light bulb shining in the upper left corner. Only a tiny bit of it is in the first picture, almost a half of it is in the second, somewhat less than a half in the third. Maybe it could have played a role in this ? Also, as you moved the frame slightly, there is a change in the areas with different colours, e.g. the dark green part on the right gets much thinner in the second and third picture.
  12. Congratulations ! I am looking forward to see pictures you will take with it, I hope you will share some. Cheers
  13. These want to join the party:
  14. Well, you are right. I just tried to buy something and the same happened to me - shopping cart empty. For how many days have you been trying ? I filled in their support form (which responded that it was received alright) to describe the problem. I will let you know if they respond.
  15. I have it from silkypix.eu, it was an upgrade from V6. What problems ? The silkypix.eu website seems to be working just fine right now, both with Chrome and with Edge. You are welcome.
  16. I thought it would be 8 or 12, I have the 8mm too, never used it for people shots like you did in this one. Great shots, thanks for sharing.
  17. Great ! I like this one most. 25mm ? What lens was that ?
  18. Welcome Pierre, Young junior of 55 taking a turn at the welcoming duties here. China ? I hope you had the X-T20 with you already. Let us see some pictures ! Enjoy your retirement. Cheers George
  19. Today I briefly had another go at "fall pictures" Take a Fuji, press a button and be amazed at what the little thing can do (at least I am).
  20. Peter, I have been using ACDSee for DAM for ages because it is very fast. SP interface takes the same time to get used to as any other raw converter and the results are good. The film simulations are, as far as I can tell, equivalent to sooc. I have SP V8 Pro and it is fast on my machine (i5 7500, NVMe SSD), but so was the V6. I suppose the "bad rap" comes from the fact that most people have been using LR for a long time and most photographers are more artistic than technical kind of people and they find it difficult to try new things. Cheers George
  21. Thank you. When I find some time I will make a post with some pics from our mountains. They are very different from your area. Kind Regards G.
