  1. Thanks for sharing, Jerry. Beautiful pictures ! 🍷🍷
  2. Upper right corner: Marmolada (3343m)
  3. Merlin, it may seem so to you, if you do not do this kind of thing. But the roads there are full of cyclists in the summer. There is more money in the bikes on the road than in the cars. 🙂 My ride certainly was not impressive, I was one of the slowest. I had a complicated year last year. In March, skiing there, I had an accident while helping the son of our friends who has Asperger's Syndrome. I had an operation on my knee in April, I had to wear a fixed orthesis and walk on crutches till end of May. I could start cycling only after it went off. I had to put my sadle as high as possible at first, because I could not bend my knee properly etc. So in July, I was not in good shape at all. But we were so delighted with the area that we wanted to go back, so my wife and my sons did hiking, with some friends of ours, and I worked on my bike to get my knee back into shape.
  4. The road below is the Passo Pordoi (2239m). This photo, as well as the others from the Dolomites, is from last March. Heavily off-topic: I climbed it by bike last July (3x), also the Sella (2244m), Gardena (2121m), Campolongo (1875m), Giau (2236m), Falzarego (2105m), Valparola (2192m).
  5. This must have been photographed a million times, it is from the Sass Pordoi (2950m).
  6. Update: I tested the Quadralite Stroboss 36F, which afaik is exactly the same as Godox TT350F, and the autofocus assist lamp is really an annoying & "blinding" strong red light (no grid pattern), in accordance with the above mentioned fstoppers.com review. As already mentioned above, the bigger Godox speedlights use a grid pattern and according to the reviewers they are neither annoying nor blinding . The Godox triggers work with Godox strobes and speedlights, they will not work with the Fuji X500.
  7. Hullo Jerryy, sorry for the delayed response, I was away. Thanks for the kind comment. Yes, I did play with the shots a little, I darkened and/or slightly desaturated the sky on some, I took down some of the blue cast on the lower part on some etc. On that particular shot the sky is dull, greyish (on the contrary to most of the others where it is very blue and very saturated) and the lower part quickly starts to look like b/w if I take away too much of the blue. There are almost no other colours in it except blue. But if you look at the sooc here - it was against the light and through a thin cloud - I was surprised how much I was able to yield from it anyway, the blundering clueless amateur that I am. The latitude of the Fuji raws is great and C1 also. I will post some more shots later on, I have to go now. Cheers, all the best.
  8. Thanks, Merlin, you are kind. I switched quietly from the Alps to the Dolomites. This is the Sella Ronda area. The shots are not as good as they ought to be for the beautiful scenery - I had no polariser or GND filter with me, I was in a hurry with the others always waiting for me etc. These are just quick tourist-like shots with the X-T10. Some are from quite high up and so there is a lot of blue cast on them. I am going there again in March and I hope for good weather again.
  9. You seem to have fabulous weather all the time, Merlin !
  10. How much red paint did you spend on that tree ? I was in the east of our country in October and they had the most spectacular colours there. But I was on a business trip and I had no time for a walk. On our end of the country, this year fall was a joke - the leaves stayed all green and then they fell off, just like that.
  11. Serves you right ! No, just joking. Stay nice and dry and look for some older ones to post. That will do nicely.
  12. I like the twisted trees. Beautiful sunny weather. My shots are not amazing. The mountains, yes.
  13. Merlin ! You´ve got some mighty big fridge.
  14. Close enough. Accepted. But I wonder what will Merlin do, he will have to scrape some snow off the inside of his fridge. 😀
  15. You are welcome. That shop is not far from the routes that I travel. If they will have the Fuji version on stock, I will try again. I am interested to know, I am considering getting the small one myself. Yes, I learned several good bits of information from this site when I started with Fuji. I am just a blundering hobbyist, but there are some highly knowledgeable folks around and they post some very beautiful images, too.
