  1. Hi Andrew I am also about to buy an X-T2 but as am trading in my existing X-E2 - then I'll have the X-T2 as the main camera and my X-T1 as a backup with the 10-24mm lens on semi-permanently (I hate risking dust getting into my cameras so like to keep 2 bodies). Anyway in answer to your questions: 1. Yes the X-T2 is weather sealed like the X-T1 but the 55-200mm lens is not. I have this lens and love it for the quality but it is something you should be aware of. 2. The 100-400m is a heavy lens, albeit with great quality. Too heavy for me! 3. Can't comment on video as I don't use the X-T1 for that - perhaps I might with the better video on the X-T2.
  2. Can't really suggest how to remove the card but you can use the Fujifilm PC Autosave software to wirelessly copy your images to a computer (http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/software/pc_autosave/mac/) or (http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/software/pc_autosave/win/). At least you'll have saved your work and can then sort out the camera later.
  3. I use this Metadata viewer in conjunction with Lightroom: http://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies/metadata-viewer If you don't use Lightroom then I also have EXIF Editor ( why not just use Preview and select Tools, Show Inspector. I haven't updated to Sierra yet so can't say that all the above work.
  4. Just a thought but RAW images cannot be recorded at settings of L, H1, or H2. Only JPEG images will be recorded if these settings are chosen when RAW, FINE+RAW, or NORMAL+RAW is selected for image quality. Did you change the sensitivity? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. An intertesting subject. But with 2 XT bodies and your existing lenses why do you "end up changing lenses a lot". I have an X-T1 and an X-E2 and I keep my 10-24mm on the X-E2 and an 18-55mm on the X-T1. Then with a 55-200mm in my bag I'm generally catered for - I don't use the 55-200mm very often so for most of my shots I don't need to change lenses which I don't like to do too much whilst travelling (for reasons of dust etc). I cannot fault the 10-24mm and 18-55mm lenses and they are way sharper than my previous Canon 7D system. I can fit the 2 bodies with fitted lenses, plus the 55-200mm and another 35mm f1.4 into a Domke Next Generation Herald bag. It also takes a 12" Macbook or iPad. Hope this helps!
  6. I have used a Hyperdrive Colorspace device for a few years and it does an excellent job of backing up and viewing digital camera files and videos. I have the UDMA2 version with 1TB drive but that's been replaced by the UDMA3. I bought mine from Amazon UK. https://www.hypershop.com/products/hyperdrive-colorspace-udma3 Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. You're right - apologies. The v5 leaflet doesn't make it clear. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. I can't speak of the Athabasca brand but I use and can highly recommend Tiffen ND and other filters. They are quite expensive but are made in the USA and I find their quality justifies their price. The 10X Variable ND is a great tool in my bag! I bought the 77mm version and then have step-down rings to use on my other lenses.
  9. and which camera are you talking about .....
  10. The X-T10 is made in Thailand, the X-T1 in Japan. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. This is exactly what I intended to do as, like you, I have an X-T1 and an XE-2. Thanks very much for doing the hard work! Now these two cameras are so similar it makes life rather easy when switching between the two. I'm off to New Zealand next week for 5 weeks so the timing of the update to v4 is perfect!
