Mike G got a reaction from merlin in Wildflowers
Merlin, I think this delicate photo justifies your purchase of the X-T2.
Especially when partnered with the excellent Fuji glass that you have!

Mike G got a reaction from jlmphotos in X-T2 Freezes
NWPhoto, it was not to have a go at you, but those irritating so called "you tube" experts who spout a lot but know very little! In the short time I've had my X-T2 and used both types of battery, which are essentially the same thing, without any trouble. My understanding is that the original 126 batteries created heat when under heavy drain caused by using the video function, so the internal battery circuits have been rearranged/rewired to lessen the heat build up, as far as I can ascertain.
Would Fuji really not warn their customers of potential problems with their batteries, I don't think so!
As to SD cards I only use Sandisk or Lexar as I don't trust other makes! I also only buy the fastest that I can afford!
Regards Mike

Back to Fuji after a few years with Sony. I had an X-Pro1 when it first came back. Went to Sony but it just didn't give me the same feeling.
Anyhows, thought by introduction I should post a pic. From a recent short break in Venice.

Jewellers Rouge is an extremely fine abrasive mixture that is a dark red colour hence the name!

Mike G reacted to jlmphotos in 35mm f2 vs f1.4
I love, love, love my 35 1.4 Those new 23, 35 and 50 F2 lenses may be faster focusing and (supposedly) sharper as told to us by all the paid shills on the inter webs, but I don't give a crap. I LOVE my 35 1.4. Won't part with it. The images are just phenomenal, clear, and oh so "zen like" Yeah. I said it. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Oh: And those F2 lenses are BUTT UGLY. and yes that does make a difference to me.

Mike G reacted to milandro in London Under Siege
must have been interesting.
I have been many times on the bridge (every time I am am in London I never miss the Tate modern, it is one of my favorite spots in town.).
But the skyline is very much changed (as everything else ) since the days I lived there.
Lots of water has passed under all the bridges , new or old.

Mike G reacted to merlin in Cold Water on a Hot High Desert Day
It was about 90 degrees F here today, and just viewing this photograph helped me to cool down! Something about the swirling of the water, cascading over the mostly submerged rock, and wavelets. Not the same as being there, of course!
