  1. From my garden this morning. Click up
  2. Thanks Milandro, yep this is turning out the my "Annus Horribilis" I too have Aperture + Lightroom and have no problems opening Fuji RAFs or JPEGs in either. IMHO the Aperture treatment is slightly better than Lr, sadly Aperture doesn't have the tools that Lr does!
  3. As I recently took a nose dive into a concrete path, I'll pass on that for the time being, if I was to post my current visage it would scare off most of the members! Not turning out to be a very good year for me so far, but surely now it can only get better.
  4. Milandro(no spaces) and MikeG happy days indeed! Regarding my avatar, since that was taken I have lost 12 kilos due to receiving Chemotherapy, not something I would recommend as a weight loss regime.
  5. MikeG, don't ya just know this is going to lead to confusion, but hey I appreciate what you say! Please don't take this personally! Many years ago I used to live in Helston when I was in the Royal Navy, happy days.
  6. MikeG you appear to have appropriated my forum name "Mike G", this name I have used for many years on several forums, please desist! Would an administrator please adjudicate!
  7. Option 2 is the more versatile in my mind!
  8. I too have been in Rudesheim for the fireworks, sadly it was a very poor display, very few fireworks and not really seen very well from the moorings which I'm sure you know well! Detlief, Your photo is a cracker. I've never seen Stolzenfels in such low cloud! Patiently waiting for midnight and the fireworks to start in Rudesheim, the ship behind us is the Virginia.
  9. I know nothing about that one! Sorry
  10. Gigas, I have just tried that and immediately the Photos app opens with an import dialogue! attached is a screenshot of the import dialogue of Lightroom which sees both RAF and Jpeg files as you can see! Click up PS Photos only sees the Jpeg!
  11. How are you trying to load them? I use a card reader and move the files both JPEG and RAF to the finder and then import to Lightroom or Aperture. Bear in mind that iPhoto has been superceded!
  12. "The only Chinese lenses should be the 16-50 and the 50-230. The rest of the lenses should be made in Japan." A quote from a post by Milandro. Milandro my 18-135 definitely says made in China !
  13. Taken whilst enjoying a beer in Boppard, this one is from my archive! Please click up
  14. Use4711, the "Bight of Boppard" I've been round that bend many times! If you don't mind me asking what is the name of your ship? Regards Mike
  15. Try the Q menu you should be able to get back to the base setting!
  16. Snidley, you press the Disp/Back button and also switch the camera on as well at the same time!
  17. A male Egyptian Goose from last summer, on the banks of the Rhine, once again a Nikon goose! Please click up
  18. Not quite a Fuji bird, but a Nikon bird from last year, D810 + 24-120mm f4
  19. Ditto, refuses to load! Won't even load from Fuji.com either!
  20. Gordon, that is the sort of answer I hoped to see. I really like this 18-135 lens but was a bit disappointed by the zoom action, which I'm glad to hear is not a QC issue, hopefully in time mine will begin to feel better!
  21. When I feel the zoom action of my other Fuji zooms(50-140, 10-24, 18-55) the 18-135 definitely feels a bit rougher! I'm not trying to say I don't like the lens, I really do. Maybe challenging the QC of Chinese made Fuji lenses was not the best use of language, perhaps it is a design flaw! no doubt I will be jumped all over for this comment, trouble is of course I can't have a chat with the designer!
  22. Mileage varies? Maybe a design of the weather sealing problem peculiar to this model. My Japanese made lenses are buttery smooth I.e. 18-55, 10-24 50-140. Other than the zoom action no other complaints. I'm sure the QC policy of Fuji universally is the same
