  1. But that doesn't tell me where to set the L value?
  2. Darknj, get two rear lens caps and glue them together and Bobs your uncle!
  3. I have Lr cc and it does not handle X-T2 files well, so I'm trying Photo Ninja which does the job well!
  4. Herby, what does the X-T2 display? If possible do a photo of the display with shutter button half pressed? Your reply tells us nothing to try and help!
  5. Herby what happens when you half press the shutter button in auto?
  6. NWPhoto, it was not to have a go at you, but those irritating so called "you tube" experts who spout a lot but know very little! In the short time I've had my X-T2 and used both types of battery, which are essentially the same thing, without any trouble. My understanding is that the original 126 batteries created heat when under heavy drain caused by using the video function, so the internal battery circuits have been rearranged/rewired to lessen the heat build up, as far as I can ascertain. Would Fuji really not warn their customers of potential problems with their batteries, I don't think so! As to SD cards I only use Sandisk or Lexar as I don't trust other makes! I also only buy the fastest that I can afford! Regards Mike
  7. Battery life from Fuji! Fujifilm says (http://www.fujifilm.com/news/n160707_01.html) the shots per charge with one battery is 340, and with the grip you can get "up to" 1000 shots per charge - for three 1260 mAh batteries. That is not a lot - eg, the D7200 uses the EN EL-15 = 1900 mAh and gets 1100 shots per charge. That, of course, is a consequence of the high power consumption inherent in the mirrorless design.
  8. Turn it off between shots or for periods of non use! Make sure pre-focus is turned off. And also don't chimp!
  9. Val, I bought this one from Amazon, and although the first one did't work its replacement has worked well! I don't mind a PM Cheers Mike
  10. Val, I came to Fuji from a Nikon D810, where a fresh battery would last a fortnight, well at least in my case it would! So the X-T1 was a bit of a shock, but the other advantages out-weighed the disadvantages! I changed in January 2016, all the time waiting for the X-T2(long wait) but it's here and I love it. So the the battery life was not a bother to me. I just st need to carry a couple of spares, and I have used 126 and 126S types with no discernible difference and definitely no freezes! I did most of my horse trading with WEX of Norwich, which I'm sure you'be heard of, very good firm to trade with! Regards Mike
  11. Apple have only just got around to including the X-Pro2 into ACR, so we probably have quite a wait for Apple to acknowledge the X-T2! Adobe' s efforts at catering properly to the X-T2 are equally abysmal!
  12. NWPhoto, you are reading the wrong reviews, how about naming and shaming?
  13. So very sorry to hear this Jason, you must be gutted.
  14. Paul, I have just tried that and my camera didn't freeze!
  15. Val75, I have now realised that the figure I quoted was storage capacity and not battery life, sorry about that. As you are probably aware I've only had the X-T2 since Thursday, so any comments regarding battery life are preliminary to say the least! Compared to my X-T1 I'm not yet seeing an awfully big difference! The only different setting is that I'm using is the "boost" setting to get a bit more speed! I am doing a lot more menu surfing as I familiarise myself with this little marvel. Yesterday I took 90 shots(RAW + Lfine) with a lot of chimping and menu surfing as you would expect and along with a fair bit of menu bashing and having just checked I'm down one bar on the battery meter! That was from a 126S battery, of which I have two plus two non round spot. I don't usually go for non makers batteries so I can't comment on them. I wish that it was possible to switch between storage and shots taken? Sorry for my confusion, I'll put down to old age! I usually don't walk around with the camera switched on but sometimes I forget to turn it off.
  16. Or they could make a revised and better 18-135mm!
  17. tibibb, you were hoping weren't you
  18. Only while using video is as I understand.
  19. The capacity of the battery has not changed it just won't heat up as much, because the internal gubbins has altered!
  20. Battery life is what it is and so we all have to get used to it, changing batteries is not a big chore, it takes seconds. I think that what we get for yes a small battery is an absolutely awesome camera and for that I'm prepared to change batteries now and then!
  21. Mitchrj, no it does not period!
  22. Jorge, don't even hesitate a second!
  23. Thanks Pete, that's not it, I think I'm a hiding for nothing here. I don't think I'm going to get what I was asking for!
  24. Gaz, in a word brilliantly! I post my pictures mostly on a website called "fotozones.com" due sadly because that those posted here get very little reaction good or bad! I do like this site as resource for the technical side of Fuji stuff. Both sites are very good. But I do wish that here there was more criticism of images so that in my case I can learn to be a better snapper.
  25. I'm sure I'm not the only one to find that the joystick is useful in a whole host of ways!
