  1. Since there is no topic for landscapes in b&w, I thought let's create one... Cloudy day by #1923#, auf Flickr

  2. “However, the X-T20 also features a full Auto mode that can be accessed with a flip of a switch. When Auto is engaged, none of the dials serve any purpose and the camera will simply attempt to use all the best settings. It’s worth noting that RAW is not available in the Auto mode.” https://admiringlight.com/blog/review-fujifilm-x-t20/#:~:text=However%2C the X-T20 also features a full Auto,RAW is not available in the Auto mode. It sounds like stay out of full auto mode and you should be okay to use raw.

  3. Hi Suzan. Thanks for following up. Yes, I did solve this. Given that this only occurred with my laptop and not my desktop, I suspected it was the computer and not the camera at fault. I finally found a USB power setting in the Lenovo software that allowed the USB outlet to be used for charging, even when the computer was not in use. Disabling this solved the issue. Must have somehow affected the USB power output I guess, but I am happy to be able to shoot again tethered to my laptop.

  4. Hi. Did you solve the problem? I remember having the same issue, but then it was somewhere in the software I had to enable. Bizarre, can't remember exactly but it really was somewhere in the settings. Fuji sometimes handles the interface very strangely. Also for example if you want to see the grid you have to choose show grid. But then nothing happens. The trick. somewhere in some other settings you have to enable it. Very weird and can drive you crazy. Sorry cant help you further, but I really cant remember which setting it was. I ordered 2 new USB 3 cables and everything...I know how you feel:) GOOD LUCK Suzan

  5. I think that will be the future. Phones will get better and the niche for dedicated cameras will get smaller and smaller. I am also thinking about getting one of the next iPhones and then using my X-T3 only for things like wildlife where the phone can't (yet) compete with a big zoom lens.

  7. Thanks for your replay, jerrryy. I can actually guess the outcome but I've never done it: I guess there must be something to learn in such exercise.

  8. Thanks Marcel, I didn't know such an adapter existed. I'm using Nikon Z in the studio here but some of my colleagues use Sony EF. I've been jealous of a few of the lenses (the Loxias and the GM135). I think I'll order one to see if it works and I'll let you know here.
