I reckon the first one is a picture of a person bowing to worship the camera. The second one is of two people whose features are naturally blurred, so that even when they're in sharp focus it looks as though they're out of focus.

What about a cartwheel on the 1st one?

 

It is possible that on the second one, they are not the main subject and/or that it's intentional. These days everyone is looking for sharpness which I find extremely boring to remain polite. what about mystery, imagination, movement, "raw" pictures ?

 

How often do you see the ocean being illuminated at night? I think it happened only once to me ;)
