  1. The problem with non-integrated DAM's (Digital Asset Management) is that you can't copy paste or synchronize development settings between photos! Isn't it? Are there workarounds?
  2. From "Phanter" https://disqus.com/by/disqus_9vPPegs5Cx/ 09.09.2018 in reply to "akkual" on https://www.fujirumors.com/sony-brings-global-shutter-technology-to-aps-c-sensors/
  3. Hi YF Photography, Yes, you can use the X1T-F or XPro-F trigger with X1R-N or X1R-C receiver (indeed, there is no X1R-F receiver), to trigger your non-godox strobes (through cable connection) and speedlights (through hot-shoe). But only in manual mode (No TTL, No HSS). You can also use Godox 2,4G Wireless speedlights (like TT350F, V350F, TT685F, V860ii-f, ...) as wireless trigger, with X1R-N or X1R-C receivers, or directly with Godox 2,4G Wireless speedlights and strobes. (Finally you may also use optical slave on your non-godox strobes and speedlights.) PS: If you use only Godox 2,4G Wireless speedlights and strobes as receivers, you have cross brand compatibility for zoom-head, TTL, and HSS! Only the transmitting device (transmitter or speedlight) has to be made for your system (FujiFilm).
  4. You cannot use the X1T-F as receiver! (The "T" in X1T-F stands for Transmitter.)

  6. Not Variable! ND8 (3stops) Hoya Pro It's a shame that FujiFilm did not gave us a firmware update to enable HSS on the X-E2!
  7. Is there any sensor specialist out there who can answer my questions/thoughts about global shutter: 1/ When we will finally get sensors with real global shutter? 2/ Did this means that we can get rid of the mechanical shutter, or will there still be reasons to keep a mechanical shutter? (My understanding of global shutter means no more mechanical shutter.) 3/ When will it be possible to synchronise flash with electronic shutter? (Not yet possible with Sony's A9 almost global shutter!) 4/ This should mean that we will not need HSS anymore, right? How much less power will need our outdoor flashes? Thanks
  8. The LCD loupe seems to be a great feature. But being almost as big as the body with a lens (or a big lens), that makes it for me not very practical solution. If FujiFilm would change the layout of the back side buttons a little bit, they could claim selling a camera "optimized" for right-eye and left-eye shooters. (May be the only one on the market.) This could be of great marketing value.
  9. Thank you milandro for your tip, but not very practical! This could be used as a last resort. You have to admit that the problem exists! As CalmTom stated, It would be helpful if some buttons were moved a little bit to the right. This should possible without major negative effects for the 66% right-eyed shooters. A 33% minority is important enough to be taken into consideration in the design process!
  10. Approximately one-third (33%) of the population is left-eye dominant (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ocular_dominance). Fujifilm should consider the needs of the left-eye dominant minority while developing products! I have tried the X-T2 (and X-H1): my nose hinders access to the joystick and the Q button. May be there is a trick to avoid this? May be my nose is to big? X-Pro2's ergonomics fits my needs much better, but the EVF is not state of the art (resolution and magnification), no replaceable eye-cup, less features and less kaizen love from Fujifilm than X-T2, and even more expensive than X-T2!? I do not need an OVF (and some X-PRO2 owners I know newer uses it). I would like to have the X-Tn functionality, specifications, kaizen love, and price in a X-PROn body. Also, I wouldn't mind a slightly larger X-E with ALL X-T features: X-E2 was OK, but X-E3 is to small and lacks a lot of features, first of all: a better EVF! Let's wait and see what X-PRO3 will be... But I am afraid the X-Pro3 will skip one generation (like X-Pro2 did) and come only in about 2 years (=2020), along with X-T4! Using the non-dominant right-eye may be a workaround for some-ones... (, but not for me.) Who else uses their left eye to look through the camera's viewfinder? If you are left eye shooter, please share your experience, needs, and tips with Fujifilm (and other) gear. PS: I wear glasses, but shoot without.
  11. I got these infos from the web: http://www.fujirumors.com/fuji-nissin-i40-hss-force-trick-enable-sync-speeds-up-to-14000-on-your-x-series-camera/ http://disq.us/p/ucqc3z https://www.wimarys.com/fuji-nissin-i40-hss-force-trick/ But I did not know about the newer posts: It seems that after the Nissin firmware update, the "HSS force trick" dont work anymore: http://disq.us/p/1ju5eh1 https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/4162515 So with the latest firmwares, there seems to be any more possibility for using HSS with X-E2!! It seems that we need a X-E2 firmware update to enable HSS! Come-on FujiFilm! (And no answer from FujiFilm Support yet...)
  12. As far as I know, for X-E2 users, only Nissin's flashes, with their "HSS Force Trick" makes HSS work with X-E2. (But this "trick" does not work anymore after the Nissin firmware update!) No other manufacturer seems to support HSS with X-E2! Not even Cactus, the HSS specialist! I recently got my Godox TT350F and I am very disappointed: HSS did not work with X-E2!! With the latest firmwares, there seems to be any more possibility for using HSS with X-E2!! It would be nice if anyone out there could tell us more about HSS support for X-E2. Will there be a firmware fix for the X-E2? (And how about the X-E2s?) ... http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/5471-godox-tt350f-review-for-fujifilm/?do=findComment&comment=47837
  13. As far as I know, for X-E2 users, the options are radically different: Only Nissin's "HSS Force Trick" makes their flashes work in HSS with X-E2. (But this "trick" does not work anymore after the Nissin firmware update!) No other manufacturer seems to support HSS with X-E2! Not even Cactus, the HSS specialist! I recently got my Godox TT350F and I am very disappointed: HSS did not work with X-E2!! (See http://www.fuji-x-forum.com/topic/5471-godox-tt350f-review-for-fujifilm/?do=findComment&comment=47837) With the latest firmwares, there seems to be any more possibility for using HSS with X-E2!! 21. To be a commercial success, X-E3 needs to innovate as the X-E2 did at his time, or if using more than 18 months old technology from X-Pro2 and X-T2, the price has to drop drastically!! I am waiting for it! ... My X-E3 wish list: - At least X-T2 sensor, processor, and auto-focus. (X-Trans IV and X-Processor Pro II will be nice.) + I don't need more mega-pixels but better high ISO behavior! (Less noise, more dynamic range.) - Larger EVF (higher magnification) with better eyecup. - Please bring back a dedicated view-mode button! (Memorize different "view modes" for "Shoot" and "Play-back" modes.) - Articulated screen please. - Fast Joystick please. (Configurable sensitivity/speed.) - Same size than X-E1 and X-E2! Not smaller! - Full flash support!!! (HSS, focus assist beam, ...) - Sync speed min 1/250; Shutter speed min 1/8000, or global shutter! - USB charging. - Better grip, Arca-Swiss compatible. (Integrated L bracket.) - Weather Resistant will be a plus, but not a deal breaker. - No 4k will not be a deal breaker. - No touchscreen will not be a deal breaker. - Very soon please! (Like a smaller x-pro2, without OVF but with a large EVF.)
  22. I just received my TT350F. (Firmware version U-1.1). Here are my first impressions, testing it with my X-E2 (Firmware version 4.01): Good news: - TTL seems OK. - Automatic zoom-head moves with the lens zoom seems OK. - Manual mode seems OK. - Manual zoom-head (16mm-69mm) seems OK. Bad news: - X-E2 is not mentioned at all on the godox TT350F compatibility list! - Focus assist beam did not work with X-E2! ==> Disappointed! - HSS did not work with X-E2!! ==> Very disappointed!! ==> Is there a workaround for using HSS with X-E2?? (Like for Nissin flashes, their HSS mode seem to work with X-E2.) (It seems that even the Cactus V6 II does not support HSS with X-E2.) Anyone knows if the hot-shoe contacts from th X-E2 are different from the X-T1? Or only a firmware issue?
